Chunky Idle creates config/chunkyidle/config.yml on first startup. Edit it while the server is stopped, or run /chunkyidle reload after editing. If the YAML is invalid, reload keeps the last working settings active.

wait-before-resume: idle-time| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
automation.enabled |
Enables or disables player-based pausing and resuming. |
automation.wait-after-empty |
How long the server must remain empty before Chunky Idle resumes tasks it paused. Use an integer and one lowercase unit: seconds (s), minutes (m), or hours (h), such as 10s, 5m, or 1h. |
server-restart.enabled |
Enables restart recovery for eligible saved tasks after a graceful shutdown. |
server-restart.tasks-to-resume |
active-before-shutdown considers tasks Chunky Idle observed running or paused by it. any-saved may also resume tasks an administrator paused manually. |
server-restart.wait-before-resume |
idle-time uses automation.wait-after-empty; immediately resumes when startup is ready; or set a duration such as 10s, 5m, or 1h. |
Durations use one unit; 1h30m is not supported.
-
active-before-shutdownrecords worlds Chunky Idle observed running and tasks it paused when the server shuts down gracefully. -
any-savedtries eligible saved tasks in loaded worlds and may resume work an administrator paused manually. - An abrupt crash may not save the latest task snapshot.
- A player joining during a pending startup recovery wait cancels that wait. When the server becomes empty again, the normal
wait-after-emptytimer applies.
Existing YAML settings are preserved when updating Chunky Idle. If config/chunkyidle/config.yml does not exist but the old config/chunkyidle.properties file does, Chunky Idle carries the old idle-seconds value into the new YAML file. The old properties file is left in place.
