Creates the DSF Election post and adds a featured image.

This was created based on previous announcements for the DSF Election.

This is meant to be a post that we can share with folks to look more into folks from Black communities.

part of my personal setup is to update my gems when working on a new project to make sure that we are running the latest version if possible.

The [DSF Board Candidates have been announced](https://www.djangoproject.com/weblog/2024/oct/28/2025-dsf-board-candidates/) and voting is now open for DSF members now until 15 November (Anywhere on Earth).

The DSF Board serve two year terms. "This is an excellent opportunity to help advance Django. They guide the direction of the marketing, governance and outreach activities of the Django community."

I wanted to make sure that folks learn more about that the board is responsible for. This isn't everything they do but it is a direct quote from the Election announcement.

Oops! This one slipped past me. This is really thoughtful of us @kjaymiller. Thanks, I see you've already merged it.

I was going to suggest adding a small profile picture next to each name. It would also be great if we could share this content consistently across all our platforms from now until November 15.

Also, maybe create a dedicated post for each of the 5 elected BPDs, along with a short blurb for each one, using their personal information gotten from https://www.djangoproject.com/weblog/2024/oct/28/2025-dsf-board-candidates/#abigail-gbadago.

Not sure if I’m overthinking it 😂😂😂, but I believe this approach could help spark more community engagement and drive votes

You're definitely not overthinking it... I would like to see these things... sadly it boils down to time which I don't think we have enough to give everyone the fair amount.

I think a good in between would be promote on our socials ASAP and often.
