History / Part 9 Using the Gloves

Revisions

  • docs: correct app connection, LED and battery behavior - BuzzahBuddy connects only to the PRIMARY and reaches the SECONDARY through it; the SECONDARY never appears in the app's scan. - Paired and ready is solid green, not breathing blue. Breathing blue means not yet paired. Purple means the link to the other glove dropped; it shows for 30 seconds, then returns to breathing blue. - The LED shows no battery warnings, so the orange and red rows are gone; check battery level in BuzzahBuddy instead. - Calibration always shows ten buttons; SECONDARY buttons that don't buzz mean the gloves aren't paired. - Handedness is checked by tapping a Primary-glove Calibration button.

  • docs: convert emoji callouts to GitHub markdown alerts Replace emoji-prefixed blockquotes (🚧 📷 ⚠️) with native GitHub alert syntax ([!NOTE], [!IMPORTANT], [!WARNING], [!CAUTION]) across the wiki. The alert renders its own icon and colour, so the emoji is dropped from inside the blocks; Build-Status.md's three section heading emoji are left as-is since they're the status tracker's scannable taxonomy, not callouts.

  • Remove serial/PlatformIO instructions, route verification through the app All device-updating documentation now references only the BlueBuzzah Updater desktop app, per the owner's directive. Every serial-terminal step (MOTOR_DIAG, MOTOR_TEST:<n>, MOTOR_PRESENT, SET_ROLE typed over serial, 115200 baud connections) and the PlatformIO alternative-flash section are gone. Per-finger verification gates are preserved through BuzzahBuddy's Calibration screen instead of being dropped: it exposes ten labelled finger buttons (five per glove) once both boards are flashed, role-assigned, and paired, so tapping a named button and feeling the matching fingertip buzz is a direct, arguably stronger check than the old numeric MOTOR_TEST/MOTOR_DIAG commands. Part 2's smoke test now requires both boards to reach that point, which also becomes the earliest confirmation that bilateral pairing works. Advanced serial/PlatformIO tooling is pointed to the firmware repo from Part 2 only, per the owner's request not to document it here.
