Install

  1. Download and run mind3D-Setup-1.1.1.exe.
  2. Pick your language (English or Deutsch) – it is preselected from your Windows language.
  3. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer is not digitally signed yet: More info → Run anyway.
  4. Optionally create a desktop shortcut. No admin rights needed.

Requirements: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Your mind maps are kept on updates and when uninstalling.

New in 1.1.1

  • English and German: the app starts in English and asks for your language on first launch. Switch any time under ℹ → 🌐 Language.
  • Safer installer: mind3D is always installed into its own mind3D folder. The installer refuses folders that contain other files, so no other program can be damaged.
  • mind3D icon for the program file; Task Manager and file properties show "mind3D" instead of "Electron".
  • Complete legal notice, privacy policy and terms in the app.

Since 1.1.0

  • Plugins: 3D view, colour scheme, projects, Markdown/Obsidian import and Security Center – switch on and off without restarting
  • Security Center 🛡: encrypt all mind maps (AES-256) or use a vault with its own password, 24 recovery words, encrypted export (.m3e), screen protection
  • Always on: no internet connection, image metadata (GPS) is removed, checked imports
  • Current, hardened Electron base (44.9.3)

  3. Neu: Englisch und Deutsch – die Sprache lässt sich jederzeit unter ℹ → 🌐 Sprache wechseln. Sicherer Installer (immer eigener Ordner mind3D), mind3D-Icon für die Programmdatei, vollständige rechtliche Angaben in der App.

Installieren

  1. mind3D-Setup-1.1.0.exe herunterladen und starten.
  2. Windows zeigt eventuell „Der Computer wurde durch Windows geschützt“, weil der Installer noch nicht digital signiert ist: Weitere Informationen → Trotzdem ausführen.
  3. Auf Wunsch eine Desktop-Verknüpfung anlegen. Admin-Rechte sind nicht nötig.

Voraussetzung: Windows 10 oder 11, 64 Bit. Deine Mindmaps bleiben bei Updates und bei der Deinstallation erhalten.
