TILT-FM 0.2.1
TILT-FM 0.2.1. Identity FM-1_984. An interim UI cleanup: scenes have a layer of their own.
SCENE layer (hold ARP; a tap still opens ARP's pages, a double tap locks the layer)
- C4–F4 tap: go to scene A–D. Stopped: at once. Playing: at the end of the bar.
- Hold a scene key + another scene key: copy the held scene into the other. If the held one is the current scene, its live state is stored first. Copying onto a used scene asks OVERWRITE C? first, with NO picked.
- Hold a scene key + OCT-: clear that scene, after CLEAR C? (it says USED IN SONG when a SONG section plays it). The current scene can't be cleared.
- G4: ADD TO SONG.
- OCT- alone: undoes the last copy or clear (one level). Copy, clear and undo work while stopped.
- The look: the current scene is filled (with a dot when edited), a stored one is outlined, an empty one is dim and dashed, and a cued one blinks.
Elsewhere
- The TILT layer (hold ENV) is back to F3 NEW SONG, G3 STUCK and A3 TIMER.
- SONG page: EDIT toggles SOUNDS between SCENE and CURRENT, shown on the page's bottom line.
- Header: SCENE A, with a dot when edited.
Compatibility: no project or preset format change.
Status: a beta. The full host test suite passes and every screen is checked in all 10 palettes. Tried in the browser emulator; not yet tested on a real FM-1.
Files: tilt-fm-0.2.1.fwsc (the installable package), tilt-fm-0.2.1-app.bin (the app alone), SHA256SUMS, and the licences zip. GPL-3.0-only, like Felucca.
TILT-FM 0.2.0
TILT-FM 0.2.0. Identity FM-1_984.
Scenes. The four PROJECT slots are now the scenes A–D of one song. A scene is the four tracks: sounds, mix, patterns and automation. Tempo, effects, the SONG and the name belong to the song and stay when the scene changes.
- TILT layer (hold ENV):
- C4–F4: go to scene A–D.
- Stopped: it happens at once. An edited scene is stored first; an empty one keeps the sounds with no steps.
- Playing: it happens at the end of the bar. The scene you leave is stored in RAM and written to flash when you stop. Press the key again to cancel.
- G4 NEXT: copies the scene to the next empty one and goes there.
- A4 ADD: adds the scene to the SONG as a section (all four tracks, ×1).
- B3 SOUNDS: a song plays each section with its scene's own sounds (SCENE), or with the sounds as they are (CURRENT, the default).
- C4–F4: go to scene A–D.
- Header: SCENE A. A* means edited since it was stored. A dot means a scene is not in flash yet.
- Key LEDs: the current scene is lit, a stored one dimmer, a cued one breathing, an empty one dark.
- CONTINUE returns you to the scene you were in.
SONG: a section now lasts its longest track's loop, not the first track's. A 1-bar drum loop no longer cuts a 2-bar line in half.
Compatibility: no project or preset format change. Two settings bits are used, in a byte TILT-FM owns. Songs whose tracks differ in length now play longer sections.
Status: a beta. The full host test suite passes, and every screen is checked in all 10 palettes. Everything was tried in the browser emulator, and the scene change at the bar line is checked for clicks. Not yet tested on a real FM-1.
Files: tilt-fm-0.2.0.fwsc is the installable package; tilt-fm-0.2.0-app.bin is the app alone; SHA256SUMS holds their hashes; the licences are in the zip. GPL-3.0-only, like Felucca.

TILT-FM 0.1.1
TILT-FM 0.1.1. Identity FM-1_984.
What changed since 0.1.0
- NEW SONG puts the scale on the white keys. START now sets QNT WHITE on T1–T3. The white keys walk the new scale from C4 (the root), the black keys are silent, and SCALE LEDS shows them. Before, QNT stayed OFF and the keys played chromatic notes outside the scale. T4's kit keeps its own key map.
- The splash and MENU > ABOUT say 0.1.1.
Install: as for 0.1.0. Install tilt-fm-0.1.1.fwsc with the browser installer or python3 tools/fm1_install.py tilt-fm-0.1.1.fwsc. Felucca's update loader is kept, so any other firmware, or the official V15, can be installed over it.
Compatibility: no format change. Projects, user presets and settings from 0.1.0 and Felucca 1.6.1 load as they are.
Status: a beta.
- 0.1.0 has been installed and runs on a real FM-1.
- 0.1.1's change was checked in the browser emulator.
- The full host test suite passes, and every screen is checked in all 10 palettes.

TILT-FM 0.1.0
TILT-FM 0.1.0 — the first release. Identity FM-1_984.
TILT-FM is Felucca 1.6.1 (by Leo Kuroshita, Hügelton Instruments) with TILT's quick-start ideas added inside Felucca's own UI. Everything Felucca does is still there; its sounds and projects load as they are.
What it adds
- Start screen after the splash: CONTINUE your last session (OCT+), BLANK, NEW SONG or LOAD. Nothing is loaded or overwritten until you choose and then change something. MENU > SYSTEM > START SCREEN OFF gives Felucca's power-on.
- The TILT layer (hold ENV):
- F3 NEW SONG: key, scale, tempo and a sound for each track, chosen by role (bass, melody, melody, drums). Hold any row, NUDGE (OCT+) re-rolls the rest, START (PLAY) builds the project.
- G3 STUCK: COOK or RANDOM on the current track, in its scale.
- A3 TIMER: 5–20 minutes, with an amber dot-matrix countdown on every screen. At zero the bar finishes, the sound fades and stops, and TIME saves the session as a timed take. Then PLAY IT BACK, SAVE, EXTRA BALL (+5 min) or KEEP WORKING.
- SONG: E4 sets a section's track to "–" (rest).
- The look: amber TILT dot-matrix splash, and AMBER with SCALE LEDS on for a fresh install.
Install
- From the command line:
python3 tools/fm1_install.py tilt-fm-0.1.0.fwsc(needspip3 install mido python-rtmidi). A one-click browser install will come with the FM-1 Firmware Hub listing. - It keeps Felucca's update loader, so you can install any other firmware over it, or go back to the official V15.
- Keep the FM-1 charged and on USB while installing. More in docs/tilt/FLASHING-CHECKLIST.md.
Compatibility: Felucca 1.6.1's projects, user presets and settings are kept as they are (no format change). TILT-FM adds one settings bit, START SCREEN, in a byte Felucca leaves unused.
Status: a beta.
- Felucca's whole host test suite passes, with TILT-FM's tests added.
- Every screen is checked in all 10 palettes.
- Everything was tried in the browser emulator.
- Not yet tested on a real FM-1.
Files

firmware/enginesare MIT, and the bundled fonts, DSP and SDK files keep their own licences (LICENSING.md, LICENSES/).
