TILT-FM 0.2.0
Pre-releaseTILT-FM 0.2.0. Identity FM-1_984.
Scenes. The four PROJECT slots are now the scenes A–D of one song. A scene is the four tracks: sounds, mix, patterns and automation. Tempo, effects, the SONG and the name belong to the song and stay when the scene changes.
- TILT layer (hold ENV):
- C4–F4: go to scene A–D.
- Stopped: it happens at once. An edited scene is stored first; an empty one keeps the sounds with no steps.
- Playing: it happens at the end of the bar. The scene you leave is stored in RAM and written to flash when you stop. Press the key again to cancel.
- G4 NEXT: copies the scene to the next empty one and goes there.
- A4 ADD: adds the scene to the SONG as a section (all four tracks, ×1).
- B3 SOUNDS: a song plays each section with its scene's own sounds (SCENE), or with the sounds as they are (CURRENT, the default).
- C4–F4: go to scene A–D.
- Header: SCENE A. A* means edited since it was stored. A dot means a scene is not in flash yet.
- Key LEDs: the current scene is lit, a stored one dimmer, a cued one breathing, an empty one dark.
- CONTINUE returns you to the scene you were in.
SONG: a section now lasts its longest track's loop, not the first track's. A 1-bar drum loop no longer cuts a 2-bar line in half.
Compatibility: no project or preset format change. Two settings bits are used, in a byte TILT-FM owns. Songs whose tracks differ in length now play longer sections.
Status: a beta. The full host test suite passes, and every screen is checked in all 10 palettes. Everything was tried in the browser emulator, and the scene change at the bar line is checked for clicks. Not yet tested on a real FM-1.
Files: tilt-fm-0.2.0.fwsc is the installable package; tilt-fm-0.2.0-app.bin is the app alone; SHA256SUMS holds their hashes; the licences are in the zip. GPL-3.0-only, like Felucca.
