The following applications do not recognise the virtual OBS-camera:

  • Windows 10 Official Camera application (ver. 1809)
  • Unreal Engine 4.22.2 (Instructions)

It's strange, in my tests only Google Chrome recognises the virtual camera.

Any hints?
I will also post an issue on Unreal Engine.

Thank you!

Current Skype version also doesn't recognize virtual cam. It doesn't show on the list of available webcams.

Have done a bit more testing.
Chrome - Recognized
Opera - Recognized
Edge (Chromium) - Recognized
Discord - Recognized, can confirm flipped

Camera App on Windows 10 - Not Recognized
Skype - Not Recognized
Firefox - Not Recognized, but not completely tested.

What's the deal?

Tested Chrome, Skype, Firefox, results agree with Compleur.

Further Research showed me this. Run in Administrator Command Prompt
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\obs-studio\bin\64bit\obs-virtualsource.dll"

Fixed it. (This is part of the manual install process, I guess the installer is not doing it.)

You can add the Zoom executable (downloaded/installed when opening/hosting a meeting) to that list. Although you can see the virtual cameras in the list, you'll get an error when attempting to open them, even after doing the manual install process above.

Zoom issue is only on the latest zoom version.

One dll is causing the issue.
