Entropy 0.1.1 is the first big polish release after 0.1.0: Figma shell, Library Folders/Gallery, real media previews, calmer search, and a much lighter install.

Installers

Built by GitHub Actions from tag v0.1.1, then published to the public downloads channel:

Installers are unsigned — SmartScreen / Gatekeeper warnings are expected.

Shell & product shape

  • Rebuilt App sidebar and Library to match Figma Entropy (light-first, shared sidebar)
  • Custom minimal window chrome (drag strip + caption controls)
  • Gallery nested under Folders as a List | Gallery toggle
  • Storage map (treemap) opt-in in the titlebar; shares the right panel with File Intelligence
  • Slim Settings (theme, density, essentials), real Local Storage meter, working dark theme
  • Removed Intelligence stubs (Relationships / File Copilot) from the sidebar

Library

  • Folders List + Gallery share the same rows (search included)
  • Global Library search with loading skeleton on every new query
  • Click a hit → File Intelligence; double-click folder/file → leave search and navigate
  • File Intelligence stays open across Gallery / List; treemap icon lit only when the map is visible
  • Right-click menus, corner toasts (undo / Reference / Recycle Bin), safer delete of previewed videos
  • Large Files across Home + Library roots (cached); Duplicates count only while that view is open
  • Home folder collage previews; broader image/video types

Notebook

  • Switch / open workspaces into Notebook; .entropy workspace marker
  • Reference copies wiki/embed markdown; notes open across workspaces from search
  • Local Notes chrome matches Figma

Media & Windows fixes

  • Video faces thumb-first (Gallery + File Intelligence play without OS thumb dependency)
  • Harder media release so Windows can trash locked preview videos
  • GPU cache Access Denied / single-instance focus fix

Performance & packaging

  • Virtualized Folders list + Gallery grids
  • Bounded caches; caps on huge duplicate scans
  • Smaller packaged asar + English-only Chromium locales
