The first public release of the native PC port of 007: The World Is Not Enough (PlayStation, 2000), for Windows and Linux.

You need your own copy of the game: a disc image of the American release (SLUS-01272), as .bin + .cue. No game data is included.

Downloads

  • Windows 10/11: twine-pc-v0.1.0-windows-x86.zip. Unpack anywhere and run twine.exe.
settings and saves stay in the program's directory.
  • Linux (Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12, Fedora, Arch, SteamOS...): twine-pc-v0.1.0-linux-x86.tar.gz. Unpack and run twine.

The first time, choose your disc image; it's then checked and remembered for future sessions .
A PS1 BIOS is totally optional (start-up animation only).

Including:

  • Smooth motion at your display's refresh rate, on the game's original 20 Hz logic
  • Hardware renderer (Vulkan) at up to 8× resolution in true colour, or the original look in software
  • Mouse and keyboard, modern gamepad controls with sprint and rumble, every action rebindable
  • Quick punch and quick grenade
  • Endless Mode: 61 rooms from nine missions, weapons from across the game, scores and medals on your memory card
  • Blackjack from the main menu, the developers' debug menu (F9), save states (F5/F6)
  • Optional HD movies from your own copy of the film (tools/hdmovies.py)
