E2E Testing Framework

Comprehensive end-to-end testing framework using Playwright with Gherkin/Cucumber BDD style.

New Features:

  • Playwright integration with Gherkin/Cucumber BDD syntax
  • 10 feature files covering all major application areas
  • Page Object Models for maintainable UI tests
  • Step definitions for common operations
  • Test fixtures and mock services

Mock Services:

  • LM Studio mock server (OpenAI-compatible API)
  • Neo4j mock for unit tests when container unavailable
  • IPFS mock for offline testing

Test Environment Scripts:

  • npm run test:env:start - Start native or Docker test environment
  • npm run test:env:stop - Stop test environment
  • npm run test:seed - Seed test data to Neo4j
  • npm run test:install - Install Playwright browsers

CI/CD Pipeline:

  • GitHub Actions workflow for automated testing
  • Matrix testing for native and Docker modes
  • Service containers for Neo4j and IPFS
  • Test artifact collection (reports, screenshots)

Other Improvements

  • Persistent User Plugins - User-installed plugins now survive Docker rebuilds
  • Docker Build Fixes - Fixed misleading error/warning messages during Docker builds
