Bug Fixes

  • Pressing Enter no longer sends a message while the Send button is disabled. Empty inputs no longer trigger a webchat/outgoing-message analytics event, and a message with a failed file upload is no longer sent without its attachment (CGY-37418) — #319
  • Speech-to-text now works reliably in Microsoft Edge: dictation waits for the recognition engine, and engine errors are reported instead of failing silently (CGY-37417) — #318
  • Security: the xApp overlay validates the sender's full origin, closing a prefix-matching bypass (WCH-SI10-004) — #304
  • Security: customAllowedHtmlTags can no longer re-enable dangerous tags or attributes (such as iframe, form, style, srcdoc) in user-typed input and the privacy notice. Bot and agent messages are unaffected (WCH-SI10-001) — #310

Accessibility

  • The xApp overlay is now a proper modal dialog: it is named after the xApp title, receives focus on open, traps Tab/Shift+Tab, closes on Escape when a close icon is shown, restores focus on close, and respects prefers-reduced-motion.   • Unread-message counts are announced to screen readers while the chat is closed. Customize the text via customTranslations.ariaLabels.unreadMessageSingularText / unreadMessagePluralText; ariaLabels.unreadMessages is deprecated (CGY-3163) — #327
  • The "You're now chatting with an AI Agent" notice is no longer re-announced to screen-reader users when a conversation is restored after a page reload (CGY-37546) — #321

  • Date picker: days are exposed as a grid with full-date names and selected/current states, week numbers are row headers, and the AM/PM toggle is a keyboard-operable spinbutton. Note: this release changes the rendered DOM/ARIA of the gallery carousel and the open date picker. If you override .swiper-pagination positioning or target the carousel link structure with custom CSS, please re-check after upgrading.
