v0.3.33 - 2026-08-22
Research evidence
arXiv metadata now accepts only the requested paper's Atom entry plus exact HTTPS arXiv paper and PDF links instead of trusting labels or URL substrings from untrusted responses.
Europe PMC full text decodes XML entities exactly once, preserving nested encodings instead of changing their research meaning.
UCSC track descriptions now remove nested provider markup while preserving scientific comparisons in research results.
Updated fast-xml-parser to 5.11.0 for unsafe entity validation, multiple-DOCTYPE rejection, and malformed XML handling.
Workbench security
OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, and pending PKCE state now use atomic writes. On POSIX systems, current and migrated destination stores use 0600 files inside 0700 workspace-state directories; workspace-controlled symlinks are rejected, and legacy workspace sources are never permission-mutated during migration.
Unexpected workbench request and OAuth callback failures now return generic responses. Local diagnostics retain only a standard error class and a bounded message fingerprint, not private paths or provider details.
Malformed launch cookies stay unauthorized without disrupting the workbench, invalid streaming requests fail before HTTP success, and interrupted streams end with an explicit terminal error instead of silent success.
End-to-end release workflows now declare read-only repository permissions explicitly.
Reliability
Updated posthog-node to 5.50.0, including fixes for queue flushing, response-body timeouts, compression memory growth, shutdown, and telemetry value serialization.
Added executable regressions for XML entities, arXiv link origins, OAuth store permissions, generic server errors, UCSC markup, and workflow permissions.
