umux 1.0.3 — in-app updates & native macOS notifications
umux 1.0.3 — in-app updates land, macOS banners lose the Script Editor label.
Highlights since v1.0.2
- In-app updates (#66): umux checks quietly on startup and via Settings → App updates → Check for updates. One click downloads, applies, and relaunches. GitHub Releases is the only source (zero-cost policy) and every update bundle is signature-verified — tampered or unsigned bundles are rejected. This is the first release carrying
latest.json, so the update channel starts here. - macOS: notifications now show umux (#68): the bundled app posts through the native Notification Center (name + icon), with an automatic
osascriptfallback for the unbundledtauri devbinary. Linux and Windows behavior is unchanged.
Install
| Linux | .AppImage / .deb |
| macOS | universal .dmg (11+) |
| Windows | NSIS .exe (10+) |
Installers stay unsigned (zero-cost policy) — first-run steps for Gatekeeper/SmartScreen are in the README; the update bundles are signed with umux's own free key. Telemetry is one anonymous app-open event, nothing else. MIT licensed.
