Highlights

  • Reliable process shutdown (#4): cancel blocked commit reads independently of kill success, attempt cleanup after request errors, preserve failures, and distinguish requested from confirmed shutdown. Fault-injection regressions cover kill, status, wait and poisoned-lock paths, including an incomplete frame.
  • Public headless viewport tests (#5): inspect committed styles, accessibility/disabled state and virtual-list ranges; dispatch visible-range, layout and pointer observations; explicitly answer or reject core scroll commands. Event sequencing, captured revisions and epochs remain owned by TestHost. No private protocol imports or duplicate reducers are required.
  • Git-native doctor verification (#6): compare Cargo's resolved GPUI package sources and full revisions with the host SDK, including workspace inheritance and Cargo-managed checkouts. Correct Git patches pass; missing, registry, path-substituted and mismatched revisions fail. Existing path checks remain supported.

Upgrade

Install matching @solid-gpui/core, @solid-gpui/vite, @solid-gpui/router and @solid-gpui/shiki version 0.5.0. Pin native sources and the seven GPUI patches to v0.5.0 or commit 86a3179712c1bae66bb2c5ec3b79689d157eab7e, rebuild the host, and regenerate bindings.

Rust exhaustive RuntimeStatus matches must handle ShutdownRequested. On an unconfirmed shutdown error, commit reads are cancelled; join the reader, retain the adapter, and retry cleanup. An OS refusal cannot be represented as successful termination.

TestHost supplies explicit test observations, not pixel layout, native hit testing or Rust handler execution. Generated native command/event name lookup remains outside this release's testing extension.

Verification

  • Rust workspace check, strict Clippy, runtime/protocol tests and golden fixtures.
  • Package formatting/type checks, public TestHost and doctor regressions, real packed-consumer builds and test runner.
  • Dependency audit and regenerated third-party notices.
  • Website content tests and frontend build; synchronized English and Chinese guides.
  • Windows process-reader cross-compilation; platform release workflows qualify Gallery Desktop archives separately.

Gallery Desktop archives and SHA-256 files are attached after all platform packaging jobs pass. macOS archives are ad hoc signed, and Windows archives are unsigned.
