v1.0.0 -- Grown Out

Choose a tag to compare

@DAB-LABS DAB-LABS released this 03 Nov 20:30

HAIR is out of beta.

1.0.0 is the first release with a written promise of what stays the same across every 1.x release: entity ids, event names and data, device triggers, reading every wig format, and forward storage migration. The full list, and what is internal and may change, is in What 1.x promises. From here, patch releases fix, minor releases add, and anything that would break a setup waits for 2.0, with notice in the release before it.

Nothing about updating changes. Existing setups carry over as they are.

The Candy Drawer

A button at the top right of the Mirror opens a live, raw console of everything your receivers hear and everything HAIR sends. It opens in a window of its own that can sit beside Home Assistant, or as a dialog over the panel in the companion app, on a phone, or when pop-ups are blocked.

Every press is its own block, repeat frames included, with its decode, Pronto and raw timings. HAIR's own sends coming back are marked as echoes of the send above. Pause it, filter RX or TX, and use Copy all to paste the log into an issue. Nothing in it is saved. Suggested by @tr4nt0r.

Power state from an on/off entity

A Device's real power state can now come from a binary sensor, switch, toggle helper or device tracker, as well as a smart plug's wattage. A TV's network tracker is the classic case: when the TV drops off Wi-Fi, HAIR knows it is off, even if it was switched off with its own remote.

Pick it in the device's settings under Power state, from a searchable list grouped into power sensors and on/off entities. The settle time after each command applies as it does for a plug, and covers a presence or network sensor that is slow to notice. Requested by @broyuken (#232).
