This release collects test builds 1.6.6–1.6.8.
New
- Waves: Armed & Zombie (BoneMenu → GORELAB Fix, first page).
- Settings: alive at once, bots per wave, endless mode, spawn area (whole map / half map / 35 m).
- Wave bots attack NPCs of a different class.
- Waves end if no bot finds you for 10 minutes.
- Smart wave director (Left 4 Dead style).
- It tracks your intensity and runs a build-up / peak / fade / relax cycle.
- Bots spawn out of sight and only where they can walk to you, preferring behind or beside you.
- Armed squads meet at flanking points and assault together. Zombies come as hordes plus wanderers.
- Bots learn where you are from your gunshots and their allies' sightings.
- Stragglers walk to you instead of disappearing.
- No spawns on the route you walked in the last 3 minutes.
- Armed wave grunts always carry a pistol or sawn-off. They keep double the minimum distance: 4.4 m with a pistol, 2.2 m with a sawn-off.
- Peaceful levels: NPCs ignore you until you hit, shoot or stab someone. After that, the whole level turns hostile. Arenas and waves are unaffected.
- Zombies run when they notice a target (3 m/s, adjustable).
- Clear mess button: removes bodies, dropped NPC weapons and severed limbs. It never touches living NPCs, the guns in their hands, or anything you hold.
- NPC sight: 30/40/50 m depending on skill, with field of view, line of sight and a reaction delay.
- Calm face: an armed grunt no longer screams with its mouth open when not in combat.
Better aiming
- Fire discipline: NPCs fire only when the barrel line passes within 0.28–0.5 m of you, depending on skill. Before this they fired whenever the barrel was within 35° of you, which is up to 6 m off at 10 m. In testing, about half of all NPC shots left with the barrel within 0.3 m of the target, and the average miss of the barrel line was about 0.3 m.
- Target leading: NPCs aim where a moving target will be.
- Less aim error (3.2° / 1.8° / 1.0°), a stronger weapon arm, and smooth aiming: no arm flailing, a cone around the body, a short hold on a target that just went out of view.
- Body turn speed in combat is capped at 200°/s.
Fixes
- Guns never dropped from some NPCs (the first NPCs in 14 Home). The cause: those NPCs spawn before BoneLib's "level loaded" event, and the mod wiped their data at that moment.
- Fist-fighting stance with a gun at the hip, still shooting.
- The stance is now cleared and the gun stays in hand.
- A right-arm disarm no longer puts a pistol-holder into a fist stance.
- The Home elevator replacement now always works. It no longer relies on spawn callbacks that the game invokes by reflection.
- A frozen (not visible) NPC is no longer treated as dead.
- In-game notifications are in English: the BoneLib font has no Cyrillic.
Menu
- Waves: Armed & Zombie comes first, with Damage & gore right after it.
- The Knockouts / freezing page was removed from the menu. Its settings still work with their defaults.
Multiplayer (LabFusion)
- Mod sight now works on the level host, who owns the NPCs.
- Waves, Clear mess, corpse cleanup and the scene-NPC replacement stay disabled in multiplayer.
- Everyone needs GORELAB and GorelabFix.
