Simclean is a native macOS app for managing Xcode simulators and finding files inside them.
Simulator management
- See devices, OS versions, states, and estimated disk usage in a searchable, sortable table.
- Protect the simulators you want to keep, then delete unprotected devices in one operation.
- Start, shut down, erase, or delete selected simulators. Deleting and erasing require confirmation; running devices are skipped during bulk deletion.
- Work with multiple Xcode installations and custom device sets.
File inspector
- Browse app data, App Groups, or the entire simulator data folder.
- Find files by name, wildcard pattern, or modification time.
- Compare before and after snapshots to see created, modified, and deleted files.
- Save named snapshots across launches and compare any two from the same scope.
- Open files and containers in Finder or Terminal.
Languages
English is the default language. Russian is also included, with the interface language selected through macOS settings.
Requirements and installation
Requires an Apple Silicon Mac, macOS 14 or later, and Xcode with Simulator installed.
Download Simclean.dmg, open it, and drag Simclean to Applications.
Deleting simulators keeps shared OS runtimes installed. Snapshots store file metadata only; they are not backups and cannot restore file contents.
