Fixes

  • Added the hash_key system function to replace hash_columns for computing keys from column values. hash_columns reduces every value to its 32-bit hash code and joins the results without separators. Because of that, distinct rows can get the same key, for example (1, 23, 'x') and (12, 3, 'x'), or NULL, 0, and ''. ARRAY and BYTES values hash by identity, so the same row gets a different key each time it is processed. hash_key hashes the full content of each value with SHA-256, using Flink's binary row format, which marks NULL values explicitly. Like hash_columns, it returns a CHAR(32) hex string. (#427)
  • Deprecated hash_columns in favor of hash_key. Its output is unchanged, so running pipelines and existing compiled plans keep the same keys. DataSQRL switches to hash_key in DataSQRL/sqrl#2513. (#427)
