RELAY for macOS, open beta 0.7.2. For Apple Silicon Macs.

Stream your DAW's master bus to listeners by session name, from the RELAY plugin and the RELAY app. Listeners use the RELAY app (Mac or Windows) or any browser at listen.kineticdsp.com.

New in 0.7.2

  • Audio Unit for Logic Pro and GarageBand. RELAY.component brings RELAY to Logic Pro, GarageBand and other Audio Unit hosts, with the same window, Send switch and Level as the VST3. In Logic, it's under Audio Units → Kinetic DSP → RELAY.
  • The Mac version now shares the Windows open beta's number, 0.7.2.

Install

  1. Download RELAY-macOS-beta-0.7.2.zip below and open it.
  2. Move RELAY.app to Applications. Move RELAY.vst3 to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ (VST3 hosts), and/or RELAY.component to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ (Logic Pro, GarageBand).
  3. This beta isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS blocks it at first. In Terminal, run: 
    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/RELAY.app ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/RELAY.vst3 ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/RELAY.component
  4. Rescan plugins in your DAW and put RELAY last on your master bus.

Works in DAWs that load VST3 plugins (Studio One, Ableton Live, Cubase, Bitwig, Reaper and others) and in Logic Pro and GarageBand.

If you have 0.2, the app offers this update; install it over the old copy.
