Dashboard preview cards now have Move and Delete actions in a right-click menu. Delete moves canvases to the existing Trash. Saved templates stay in the Templates pane and no longer appear among active canvases.

Creating a Comparison Matrix, Literature map, Evidence map, Concept Map, Affinity Diagram or Debate Tree now opens Add Sources after naming. A filled canvas remembers its selected sources; Add Sources can keep and extend that set or replace it before regenerating. Undo restores the previous graph.
Send to Canvas in Zotero's item, collection and PDF reader menus now lists active canvases only. Instruction templates cannot receive dropped Zotero items.
Validation: 99 unit tests, source picker and dashboard UI tests, layout checks and native Zotero 10.0.6 source picker checks.

Add Sources opens a searchable Zotero library/collection picker with persistent multi-selection and optional focus. It fills templates or reruns a filled canvas using retained source-free instructions, with citations and Undo.
Back/Forward navigate between dashboard, Templates and canvases. Home returns to the dashboard; inactive windows hide instantly without minimise/restore animation.
Validation: 98 unit tests and relevant UI checks pass. Native Zotero browsing, linked reference cards, navigation, window visibility and preserved template data verified. AI-fill verification uses controlled test responses; no new live AI generation was run during checks. Gantt is deferred to the next batch.

The dashboard displays saved custom templates and customised defaults once, hiding unsaved editing drafts. Editor drafts are reused and no longer generate snapshot histories. Native Zotero clipboard and formatting verified; 95 unit tests and relevant UI checks pass.

Expands Create Template with the complete Conditional branches example alongside the existing starter cards. The examples are organised into two movable groups: Sequential Numerical Example and Conditional Branches Example. Each includes a brief explanation and practical use case.
When a saved custom template named Conditional branches example exists, new starters copy its instructions, colours, connectors and layout without changing the saved original. Other installations receive the same built-in worked example. Guidance and explanatory cards are excluded from AI filling and saved template instructions.
Validation: 92 automated tests, dashboard and template-editor UI tests, including independent group movement and preservation of original custom-template contents. Installed and checked in Zotero 10.

Replaces four fixed connector dots with one hover ring and attachment dot. Create or reconnect arrows at precise card perimeter positions; attachments remain relative to the card when moved or resized. Drag previews snap to the indicated perimeter point. Corner resizing is retained; Alt enables edge resizing.
Elbow arrows now expose meaningful segment or corner controls, snap to nearby alignments, and collapse redundant points instead of continually accumulating bends. Numbered AI-authored freeform templates use a consistent horizontal or vertical flow, aligned follow-up branches and facing-side straight or compact elbow connectors. Manually selected attachment sides and routes remain supported.
New custom template drafts include the excluded guidance card plus editable numbered steps and conditional branches with strengths and limitations. Existing saved custom examples are preserved.
Validation: 91 automated tests plus real pointer UI tests for continuous attachment, ring feedback, reconnecting, resizing, Undo, reload, repeated elbow drags, template authoring and running, dashboard, responsive layout and Obsidian export. Installed starter and hover ring verified in Zotero 10. No paid AI request was used during verification.

Adds Create Template to the dashboard template manager. It opens a blank freeform draft with one guidance card explaining numbered stages, conditional branches and source-evidence rules. The guide is excluded from saved templates and template runs; custom templates require a name.
Adds an AI template assistant in the research toolbar. Create draft asks what template to build; Revise draft refines the open template. Validated cards and connectors replace the open graph as one undoable change. Cancellation and changed-canvas checks prevent stale output from being applied. Uses the configured AI provider. These authoring actions generate instructions; Fill with AI and Use custom template continue producing source-grounded findings and analysis with citations.
The template selector is shown only for custom templates. Restore default resets only the displayed format; Restore all defaults resets every built-in format while retaining named custom templates.
Validation: 86 automated tests and canvas, template editor, dashboard, responsive layout, preferences and research-tool UI checks. Create, revise, Undo, cancellation, timeline junctions, matrix source expansion and the author-to-findings workflow were tested with simulated AI responses. Installed controls verified in Zotero 10; existing template settings preserved. No paid AI request was made during verification.
