No separate .NET installation is required. Both packages contain the .NET 10 runtime and the complete telemetry runtime. Extera Monitor requests administrator access when it starts because it loads its hardware telemetry driver.
Current system support
| Area | Supported in v0.2.0 |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 11 x64; Windows 10 x64 configurations supported by .NET 10, currently LTSC/Enterprise |
| CPU architecture | x64 |
| Full kernel CPU telemetry | AMD Family 19h processors (Zen 3 / Zen 4) |
| Extended SMU telemetry | AMD Raphael, Family 19h Model 61h |
| GPU | NVIDIA and AMD devices exposed through LibreHardwareMonitor; NVIDIA also uses an nvidia-smi fallback |
Verified on Windows 11 x64 with an AMD Ryzen 5 7500F and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070.
Windows 7/8.1, ARM64, x86, Intel CPU kernel telemetry, and AMD Family 1Ah/Zen 5 kernel telemetry are not supported by this release. Standard Windows counters may be available on more hardware, but v0.2.0 waits for its driver and required CPU/GPU sensor channels during startup.
