Flame test build - widescreen UI, launcher & bug fixes
Pre-release
Pre-release
Changes
- Fixed missing fonts and misaligned interface panels at widescreen resolutions. The HUD now scales uniformly, with a continuous lower-panel background, corrected minimap coordinates and proper right-panel width. In-game menus are centered; front-end menus, fonts, images and mouse hit areas scale together.
- Fixed missing text in campaign briefings. Improved cleanup of UI textures and surfaces, including a fix for the crash on exit encountered during testing.
- Updated the launcher to support launching custom maps without creating shortcuts or entering command-line arguments. Added searchable Map selection to the main screen, a Main menu entry, a custom-map launch tooltip, English labels by default and an updated Flame background. The selector respects the priority of enabled resource packs and supports Unicode map names.
- Fixed the game-speed slider to accept the same 2–16 range used when loading settings (#86).
- Added checks for invalid creature definitions and zero or negative maximum health to prevent the identified divide-by-zero error in creature health calculations (#3).
- Enabled chicken shadows through the runtime object definition; no changes to map files are required (#83).
- Added bounds checks when copying network-list text to prevent long table fields from overflowing the destination buffer.
- Fixed campaign-level conditions that could prevent completion: six remaining Lord of the Land conditions now use WhenKilled instead of WhenDying (levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 6b and 16).
