A desktop build for trying the current workspace, Settings, and file interactions.
This release is built locally and uploaded manually from

What changed
- Repaired the missing task-resume helper import and the entry-screen status import.
- Restored Settings controllers, preference persistence and conflict recovery.
- Restored missing Settings labels and color-format labels while retaining strict localization types.
- Repaired asynchronous context-menu actions, appearance targeting, and focus restoration.
- Restored the workspace dock's actual tab dropdown. Its button finally has its own menu.
- File deletion waits for the existing confirmation and actual provider result.
- External-editor handoff retains the exact exported file path when an editor rejects it.
- Restored notification selection, regex parsing, recovery controls, and updater cancellation bindings.
- Repaired strict production compilation and local PowerShell packaging provenance.
Build and verification
The local production renderer passed compilation, strict TypeScript, and page
generation. Focused component, host, persistence, provenance, and packaging checks
were executed, with their bounded results recorded in the source handoff.
The downloadable Squirrel asset set is checked for package identity, hashes,
package-index consistency, and unsigned setup status. The publication process
downloads the uploaded files and compares their bytes with the local candidate.
This is an unsigned Squirrel.Windows installer. Windows may display an
unknown-publisher or SmartScreen warning. No signing certificate was used.
Remaining work
Full completion of the 30 desktop contracts, the complete accessibility and
layout matrix, installed-launch verification, and update-cycle verification
remain in progress. Six existing lock-panel/QR test failures reproduce against
the prior source; they are not reported as passing. Element-lock configuration
on the workspace tab menu explicitly reports unavailable when its controller is
not connected. This release does not claim that every desktop feature is complete.

呢個版本由本機建立，再手動上載，畀大家試用目前嘅工作區、設定同檔案操作。
已修理工作恢復及首頁 import、設定控制器、偏好儲存同衝突復原，亦補返缺少嘅
翻譯。右鍵操作會等真正結果，外觀編輯會對準原來元素，停靠按鈕終於有返自己
個分頁選單。刪除會沿用一次確認並等 provider 回覆，外部編輯器拒絕時亦保留
確實匯出檔案路徑。
本機 production 編譯、嚴格 TypeScript 同頁面生成通過。發佈流程會核對
Squirrel 包裝、索引、hash 同未簽署狀態，並下載已上載檔案逐一比對。
安裝程式未有簽署，Windows 可能顯示未知發行者或 SmartScreen 提示。
完整 30 項桌面功能、無障礙及版面矩陣、安裝後啟動同更新循環仍未完成。
六個原有鎖定面板及 QR 測試仍然失敗，冇當佢哋通過。工作區分頁選單未接上
鎖定設定控制器時會如實顯示未可用，唔會扮成功。

Material Designer 0.21.504 — Steamed Chicken Feet in Black Bean Sauce · 豉汁蒸鳳爪
Installed builds start again.
What was broken
Every installed build of 0.21.503 showed its splash and vanished — no window, no
error box, nothing. Two independent faults, either fatal on its own:
- The daemon's ESM prebundle handed bundled CommonJS code
requirebut no
__dirname.@ffmpeg-installer/ffmpegreads__dirnameat import time, so
the daemon threwReferenceError: __dirname is not defined in ES module scope
before it could report status. - That package is imported at module scope and is written to throw when its
platform binary is absent — which, in a packaged build that does not ship the
binary, it always is. A missing optional video encoder was therefore killing
the whole application at boot.
The failure was silent because only one error class ever earned a visible dialog;
every other fatal startup failure exited with no message at all.
What changed
- The Windows daemon prebundle declares uniquely named
__dirname/__filename
shims and maps the bare identifiers onto them through esbuild--define. The
names must be unique: one bundled chunk declares its own top-level
__filename, and a banner using that name is a duplicate-declaration
SyntaxError— the same instant crash wearing different clothes. - The daemon resolves ffmpeg lazily, behind the existing
HYPERFRAMES_FFMPEG_PATH
override. A missing encoder now costs you MP4 export and nothing else. - Every fatal startup failure now shows an error box naming the failure.
- Two build-path repairs that this build needed: the compiler probe now asks
vswherebefore reaching for winget, so a machine with an installed toolchain
outside Program Files is not declared toolchain-less; andbuild.ps1no longer
calls a function that no file defined.

The packaged build was extracted, launched on an off-screen desktop through the
cheap headless route, and reached a live 1296×908 Material Designer window
reporting Daemon live — the same reproduction that caught the crash, run
against this artifact rather than a patched payload. The prior release died at
daemon exited before reporting status on every launch.

that the packaged application starts and reaches a live window.
Known: this release is cut from an earlier base
main currently carries a partially completed merge — several features exist in
two generations at once across the renderer, and its bundle does not type-check.
Repairs for that are landing on main separately. This release is built from
31e2f8553, the commit the previous release was built from, with only the
startup fix and the build-path repairs it needs applied on top, so that the crash
fix reaches people without waiting for that reconciliation.
