Add your own notes to plugins and projects
Custom notes can now be added directly from the plugin and DAW project info views. Notes are preserved across plugin rescans and project resyncs. Implemented in #545 (closes #452)
Modern and compact windows header
OwlPlug uses a new extended window style: the app header blends into the title bar with integrated window controls for a cleaner, headless, more native look. AtlantaFX is upgraded to 3.0.0. Implemented in #542, #546
Features
- The list of tags in the Explore tab is now computed dynamically from the packages available in your registries instead of a fixed list in #548 (closes #447)
- Package bundles from Open Audio Stack registries now display their download counts in #531 (closes #500)
- Default plugin directories on Linux now point to user-level locations (
~/.vst,~/.vst3,~/.lv2) that are writable without root. The previous system-wide directories (/usr/lib/...) are kept as additional scan directories so distro-packaged plugins are still discovered, and~is now resolved in configured paths in #535 (closes #525)

- Fixed a memory leak and out-of-memory crash when scanning plugin directories containing recursive symlinks in #551 (closes #550)
- Added versioned database migrations to safely upgrade existing installations between releases in #544
- Fixed Open Audio Stack registry file size integer overflow in #534 (closes #532)
- Package filter criteria can no longer be added multiple times in the Explore tab in #548 (closes #418)
- Plain text search criteria can now be entered using the arrow keys to escape tag suggestions in #548
- Fixed plugin table not growing with window height in the project info view in #527
