@EMLgit EMLgit released this 04 Mar 16:09

Overview
These datasets represent all preserved botanical collections made from the contemporary state of New Mexico in southwestern North America. Data were downloaded from GBIF and SEINet in July 2023.

Data files
The 'dat' file is all data downloaded from GBIF and SEINet that have been cleaned for temporal, taxonomic and idiosyncratic data errors. The 'env.v' file is the georeferenced and spatially cleaned subset of 'dat' that can be used for spatially-explicit analyses.

Sharing and data access information

Data was derived from the following sources:
GBIF.org (21 July 2023) GBIF Occurrence Download https://doi.org/10.15468/dl.qyt96y
SEINet collections from New Mexico (https://swbiodiversity.org/seinet/index.php)

Code/Software
Useful R scripts for recreating and analyzing trends in the data can be found on GitHub (see above). We encourage users to also explore existing R packages that are designed for cleaning and managing collections data, which are numerous and often simple to use.
