What's new in 0.14.0

  • Models: Each room now has its own model. Choose it in Room settings, Model: one for conversations
and one for memory work. The Home card shows it, and your choice stays after Remember and Forget.
  • Models: Switch the model of an open conversation. Pick another model between answers and the
conversation continues on it, as long as it fits the new model.
  • Models: AI setup sets the default models for new rooms, and for any room until you choose its own.
Your existing rooms keep the models they use.
  • Models: When your AI sign-in expires, exxperts takes you straight to signing in again. What you
typed is kept, and you can also choose another model instead.
  • Home: Sort your rooms. By when you last used them, by name, or in your own order by dragging them.
The order is the same on every device.
  • Chat: Scrolling up while an answer streams now keeps the page where you left it. A "New text" pill
    takes you back down.
  • Chat: If the connection drops, you see it and what you typed is kept. The chat reconnects by
itself, or offers a Reconnect button.
  • Chat: Enter and Escape answer yes or no questions and confirmations. A dialog that deletes or
forgets starts on Cancel, so Enter alone never removes anything.
  • Remember: Remember now handles conversations of any length. Long conversations are read in parts,
and you can cancel while it reads.
  • Settings: Settings, Room settings and Skills have a simpler design. Every setting is one row, and
closing with unsaved changes offers Save and close.

Prebuilt Exxperts archives with a vendored Node runtime. No Node, npm, or Git needs to be installed on the target machine; unpack and run.

Desktop app (window + tray around the same local server). Both desktop builds are signed — the macOS app is notarized by Apple, the Windows binaries are publisher-signed by Exxeta AG — so neither platform shows an unknown-publisher prompt on first launch:

Platform Download
Windows x64 installer exxperts-setup-0.14.0.exe
Windows x64 portable exxperts-desktop-0.14.0-win-x64.zip
macOS Apple Silicon exxperts-desktop-0.14.0-mac-arm64.dmg (or the -mac-arm64.zip) — the macOS assets are attached within minutes of this release going live (they are uploaded from the signed build)

The versionless copies of the same files (exxperts-desktop-mac-arm64.dmg, exxperts-setup-win-x64.exe, ...) exist so releases/latest/download links always point at the newest release; they have their own lines in SHA256SUMS.txt.

Server archives (the exxperts command, for terminal use or the one-line installers):

Platform Download
Windows x64 exxperts-0.14.0-win-x64.zip
macOS Apple Silicon exxperts-0.14.0-darwin-arm64.tar.gz
Linux x64 exxperts-0.14.0-linux-x64.tar.gz

Verify your download (--ignore-missing checks only the file you downloaded):

shasum -a 256 --ignore-missing -c SHA256SUMS.txt

(On Windows PowerShell: (Get-FileHash exxperts-0.14.0-win-x64.zip -Algorithm SHA256).Hash and compare against the archive's line in SHA256SUMS.txt.)

Checksums are computed in CI from the tagged commit; each archive also passed a bare-machine smoke test on its target OS before this release was published. The macOS desktop lines are appended to SHA256SUMS.txt when the signed macOS assets are attached.
