v0.14.2
What's new in 0.14.2
- Memorize: Never gets stuck on a conversation. If it can't sort one, it keeps the conversation's
summary in Unsorted and moves on, and a later Memorize or Review can sort it into topics. - Memorize: When the model stops answering, Memorize pauses and says so. Try again continues where it
stopped, without losing what was read. - Memorize: When a new note lands beside a pinned note, or may disagree with an older one, you choose
Keep both or Replace. - Memory: Notes know when they were learned, so an older conversation never overwrites a newer note.
The older value stays in the Archive as history. - Memory: Keep protects a note for this update only, in Memorize and in Review. To keep a note for
good, pin it. - Settings: "Memorize without the card" is now "Memorize without the first read or the card", and
also skips the first read. Start runs at once, and Discuss first opens the first read. - Rooms: Very long conversations open and save, showing their newest 2,000 messages.
- Rooms: When a room holds as many remembered conversations as it can, its Home card says so and
Maintain opens, so you can Memorize. - Skills: Import from a private repository, using the sign-in git already has on this computer.
- Connectors: Opening a room on a folder from someone else, such as a downloaded project, can no
longer start programs on your computer. A room uses only the connectors in your settings that you
switched on for it.
Prebuilt Exxperts archives with a vendored Node runtime. No Node, npm, or Git needs to be installed on the target machine; unpack and run.
Desktop app (window + tray around the same local server). Both desktop builds are signed — the macOS app is notarized by Apple, the Windows binaries are publisher-signed by Exxeta AG — so neither platform shows an unknown-publisher prompt on first launch:
| Platform | Download |
|---|---|
| Windows x64 installer | exxperts-setup-0.14.2.exe |
| Windows x64 portable | exxperts-desktop-0.14.2-win-x64.zip |
| macOS Apple Silicon | exxperts-desktop-0.14.2-mac-arm64.dmg (or the -mac-arm64.zip) — the macOS assets are attached within minutes of this release going live (they are uploaded from the signed build) |
The versionless copies of the same files (exxperts-desktop-mac-arm64.dmg, exxperts-setup-win-x64.exe, ...) exist so releases/latest/download links always point at the newest release; they have their own lines in SHA256SUMS.txt.
Server archives (the exxperts command, for terminal use or the one-line installers):
| Platform | Download |
|---|---|
| Windows x64 | exxperts-0.14.2-win-x64.zip |
| macOS Apple Silicon | exxperts-0.14.2-darwin-arm64.tar.gz |
| Linux x64 | exxperts-0.14.2-linux-x64.tar.gz |
Verify your download (--ignore-missing checks only the file you downloaded):
shasum -a 256 --ignore-missing -c SHA256SUMS.txt
(On Windows PowerShell: (Get-FileHash exxperts-0.14.2-win-x64.zip -Algorithm SHA256).Hash and compare against the archive's line in SHA256SUMS.txt.)
Checksums are computed in CI from the tagged commit; each archive also passed a bare-machine smoke test on its target OS before this release was published. The macOS desktop lines are appended to SHA256SUMS.txt when the signed macOS assets are attached.
