v0.15.1
What's new in 0.15.1
- Attachments: A room's files now open as a panel of cards beside the chat. Pictures, text files and a
PDF's first page show on the card, and a gallery view shows the cards larger. One menu downloads,
renames or deletes a file, and the room's Files list is now called Attachments. - Settings: Settings and Room settings are regrouped into soft boxes, in a clearer order. A new
Appearance pane holds the theme and a new chat width, Standard or Wide, and Forget in Room settings
asks the same way as the bin in the room. - Charts and code: The tools on charts, diagrams and code now sit in one slim strip, with Copy always
in the same spot. Tables and formulas on their own line can be copied, a pie's legend shows long
names whole, and Copy image keeps a chart's whole title and names. - Copy to mail: Answers copied into a mail keep their headings, lists and tables, without the app's
colours. Charts and diagrams are left out. - Specialists: The specialists that made charts, diagrams, slide decks and documents are switched off.
A room now draws charts and diagrams in its own answers, and with a folder it writes files there.
Their old conversations and files stay, without Ask for changes. - Context meter: The meter under the message box now measures against 40% of what the model can read,
so it fits each model. Before, it used 125K tokens for every model. - Rooms: A room with a folder is now told to ask before it replaces a file you didn't ask it to change,
or to write under a new name and say so. A scheduled run is told to make a reasonable choice and
finish, not stop on a question nobody can answer. - Effort: The effort dial now works while a model switch waits, and the level you set goes over to the
new model. The chosen level's word is lit, and the arc deepens as the level rises. - Message box: The row under the message box lines up, and Remember's arrow now opens its options in
one click. - Home: A room card's buttons read larger, and its memory line now says "3 to memorize" instead of
"3 conversations waiting". - First run: The "How exxperts works" guide has a new look and opens by itself the first time you reach
Home with no rooms. With no rooms and no AI connected, Home now shows one welcome block. - Fixed: Two libraries are updated for published security fixes.
Prebuilt Exxperts archives with a vendored Node runtime. No Node, npm, or Git needs to be installed on the target machine; unpack and run.
Desktop app (window + tray around the same local server). Both desktop builds are signed — the macOS app is notarized by Apple, the Windows binaries are publisher-signed by Exxeta AG — so neither platform shows an unknown-publisher prompt on first launch:
| Platform | Download |
|---|---|
| Windows x64 installer | exxperts-setup-0.15.1.exe |
| Windows x64 portable | exxperts-desktop-0.15.1-win-x64.zip |
| macOS Apple Silicon | exxperts-desktop-0.15.1-mac-arm64.dmg (or the -mac-arm64.zip) — the macOS assets are attached within minutes of this release going live (they are uploaded from the signed build) |
The versionless copies of the same files (exxperts-desktop-mac-arm64.dmg, exxperts-setup-win-x64.exe, ...) exist so releases/latest/download links always point at the newest release; they have their own lines in SHA256SUMS.txt.
Server archives (the exxperts command, which opens the app in your browser; the one-line installers use them):
| Platform | Download |
|---|---|
| Windows x64 | exxperts-0.15.1-win-x64.zip |
| macOS Apple Silicon | exxperts-0.15.1-darwin-arm64.tar.gz |
| Linux x64 | exxperts-0.15.1-linux-x64.tar.gz |
Verify your download (--ignore-missing checks only the file you downloaded):
shasum -a 256 --ignore-missing -c SHA256SUMS.txt
(On Windows PowerShell: (Get-FileHash exxperts-0.15.1-win-x64.zip -Algorithm SHA256).Hash and compare against the archive's line in SHA256SUMS.txt.)
Checksums are computed in CI from the tagged commit; each archive also passed a bare-machine smoke test on its target OS before this release was published. The macOS desktop lines are appended to SHA256SUMS.txt when the signed macOS assets are attached.
