Robot Orchestra 0.6.0

Robot Orchestra is a local-first Windows desktop copilot with an always-on-top draggable robot head, compact chat bubble, persistent Brain and a Chrome/Edge side panel.

Downloads

  • Windows installer: Robot-Orchestra-Setup-0.6.0-x64.exe — per-user NSIS setup for Windows 10/11 x64. It is unsigned, so Windows may display a SmartScreen warning.
  • Full product bundle: robot-orchestra-desktop-v0.6.0.zip — source, quick-start documentation, release notes, installer and block map.
  • The .blockmap is included alongside the installer for completeness.

Highlights

  • Six companion sections: Chat, Tasks, Feed, Ideas, Goals and Artifacts. Task continuation creates a draft and does not silently rerun work.
  • Persistent Brain state with suggestions-only planning, saved goals, activity and artifact references.
  • Local Knowledge library for supported business documents. Text extraction and search are local; excerpts are attached to a task only when the user opts in.
  • Chrome/Edge same-origin site scanning is user-triggered and bounded. Page text is previewed and is not sent to a model until the user explicitly includes it.
  • Ollama: selected models run directly on the local Ollama loopback service; this path does not delegate to Hermes.
  • OpenRouter zero-price models: routed through the user's configured loopback Hermes adapter; catalog availability and provider limits can change.
  • Optional Hugging Face speech-to-speech client. The microphone starts only after the user presses Talk; the speech server and its models are separate from the installer.

First run

  1. Run the Windows installer and follow the per-user setup wizard. Administrator access is not required.
  2. Load the Chrome/Edge extension from the installed resources/browser-extension folder with the browser's Load unpacked developer-mode flow.
  3. Start Ollama for direct local inference, or configure a compatible loopback Hermes adapter for delegated tasks.
