Alloy v0.5.0
Pre-release
Pre-release
The assistant grows up, and servers from any instance.
- Pack plans. Ask for a new pack and Claude first shows a plan: a name, what it's
like, and the mods grouped by theme. Review every mod with icons in a full-size view,
untick what you don't want, add a note, then approve once. Installing from the approved
plan doesn't ask again. - Mod cards. Suggestions come as cards with the icon, a screenshot, downloads and an
Add button that installs straight into the instance. - Undo a reply. Alloy makes a save point before Claude's changes; "Undo these changes"
under the reply puts everything back. - The crash doctor explains. "Explain it in plain words" asks Claude to read the
crash report and the log and say what happened in a few sentences, with a follow-up
into the assistant. - Claude can run the crash search (the halves test) when it isn't sure which mod
crashes, after you allow it. - Claude remembers what you tell it about your taste and your PC across
conversations. See and delete the notes under Conversations. - Recipes and scripts: KubeJS scripts on 1.16+ and CraftTweaker scripts on 1.12.2.
- Make a server from any instance (right-click it, or the … menu): the same Minecraft
and loader, the mods without client-only ones like shaders and Sodium, the configs, and
start scripts. Tick the EULA box or accept it later in eula.txt. Claude can do this too.
Install (Windows)
Download the -setup.exe and run it. It installs for your user, no admin prompt. The installer
isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn: More info → Run anyway.
Install (Linux)
Download the .AppImage, make it executable (chmod +x) and run it. Arch users can also build
the package from packaging/arch.
