@embabyty embabyty released this 29 Oct 01:03

Sideload iOS apps with a free Apple ID.

Install

File What you get
EmLoad-Setup-0.1.0-beta3.exe WinUI 3 desktop app + Python engine
EmLoad-Cli-Setup-0.1.0-beta3.exe emload on your PATH (plus emload gui)
EmLoad-0.1.0-beta3-win-x64.zip Portable folder, no installer - run First-Run.cmd

Both installers are per-user: no admin rights, no machine-wide changes.
They need Python 3.10 or newer from python.org (the Microsoft Store stub
cannot create a virtual environment) and an internet connection while the
installer fetches the packages.

After installing, open a new terminal:

emload setup # download zsign (required for signing)
emload doctor # check the environment

See installer/README.md for build and troubleshooting notes.

The binaries are not code-signed, so SmartScreen will warn on first run.
Check the download against SHA256SUMS.txt.

macOS beta

Download EmLoad-0.1.0-beta3-macos-arm64.dmg or EmLoad-0.1.0-beta3-macos-x86_64.dmg for a drag-and-drop install, or EmLoad-0.1.0-beta3-macos.zip as a ZIP archive, for Apple silicon and Intel Macs (macOS 13 or newer). zsign is bundled in the app.
Opening the app checks GitHub for a newer release, including pre-releases, and can replace this copy.
The app is ad-hoc signed, not notarized. Python 3.10+ with the EmLoad
requirements installed is needed to run the bundled engine; see the
macOS setup guide: https://github.com/EmTechFlagship/EmLoad/blob/v0.1.0-beta3/gui-macos/README.md

EmLoad 0.1.0 Beta 3

  • Fixed signing of deeply nested apps on macOS by applying Windows’ path-length restriction only on Windows.
  • Updated the built-in AltStore source to Mike Villarroe’s app catalog.
  • Added separate Intel and Apple silicon macOS DMGs.
  • Lowered the macOS minimum version to macOS 14.
  • Improved cross-architecture zsign packaging.

Windows installers were built successfully. This build is not published as a GitHub release.
