I'm using UE 5.2 and ndk r21b at the moment. It was suggested that I might be on the wrong ndk version, however UE doesn't see any ndk other than r21b, but states it wants r25b instead.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

This should be fixed now and also work with r21b! Thanks for reporting.

I did manage to finally upgrade to:

Packaging (Android (ETC2)): NDK toolchain: r25b, NDK version: 250200, ClangVersion: 14.0.6
Packaging (Android (ETC2)): Compiling Native 64-bit code with NDK API 'android-33'

The new commit works good with this setup, thank you :)

Confirming that "const char *toChar = TCHAR_TO_UTF8(*data.To); ... Error: temporary whose address is used as value of local variable 'fromChar' will be destroyed at the end of the full-expression [-Werror,-Wdangling] "
was affecting iOS Packaging also (UE5.2). The new update resolved the issue.

One more question regarding compiling with Xcode (Visual Studio / PC works). Getting this error and failure on MacOS, Please advise:

In SkeletonBounds:

}
thrown error is: reference to 'Polygon' is ambiguous

Seem to have resolved the problem by modifying SkeletonBounds:
Vector<spine::Polygon *> &SkeletonBounds::getPolygons() {
return _polygons;
}

Is this a correct approach? Thanks Ivan
