1.4.0 新增选中文字按意见改写、分工模型，以及导入作者原稿时反推设定。大作品打开和运行侧页明显变快。还修复了备份往返、回退再定稿和重新生成蓝图时的数据问题。作品数据、设置和安装位置都不变。

新功能：

• 选中正文后，工具栏多了「按意见改」。写下改写要求，最多 2000 字，看过结果再决定是否采用。Ctrl/⌘+Enter 提交，Esc 取消。改写中断后恢复时，原来的要求还在。
• 分工模型。在「设置 → 高级 → 分工模型」里，可以给规划、写稿、审稿、修稿、定稿后处理分别指定模型，没指定的跟随默认模型。其中「定稿后处理」只用于单章定稿后的首次后处理，批量写作的自动定稿、导入中的后处理和已跑过步骤的重试沿用原来的模型。修稿、剧情树和伏笔识别的对话框会预选该环节的模型。删除某个模型时，用到它的环节会一并改回跟随默认。
• 导入作者原稿时，可以勾选「同时反推设定、架构、角色和蓝图」，默认勾选，并显示预估的 AI 消耗。反推只补空白，已有的设定、架构、文风和蓝图都不覆盖。和已有内容不同的结果列在运行卡片的「反推建议」里，可以逐条采用或全部采用。反推出的角色作为待处理的角色建议出现，不直接写进名单。
• 在已定稿的章上回退再定稿后，旧定稿在版本历史里显示为「已被替换的定稿，只读」，仍可查看、复制和回退。

改进：

• 模型设置里，模型名称合并成一个输入框加候选列表。填好 base_url 和 API Key 后会自动获取端点的模型列表，也可以直接输入任意名称。切换服务商时，API Key 和模型名一起清空，旧 Key 不会发到新地址。保存按钮不可用时，会说明还缺哪些字段。
• 连接测试超时后会停止等待，并提示检查网络或代理。云端模型等 30 秒，本机模型等 120 秒，原来要等满 300 秒。Gemini 3 选「关闭思考」时按该模型支持的最低一档发送，设置里注明 Gemini 3 无法完全关闭思考。
• 本机检索模型不填 API Key 也能用于知识库导入、检索和重建索引。云端检索模型仍需要 Key。
• 发送前不再按估算的长度拒绝请求。模型设置里填了较小的上下文窗口，也会照常发送。提示词真的超出模型长度时，卡片会说明原因，并建议换用上下文更长的模型，或精简本章要求和参考材料。
• 导入小说时，请求次数和运行时长按全书的工作量定额。导入因请求次数或运行时长到上限停下时，会说明已保存了什么、下一步怎么做；导入作者原稿时不会再提示点不了的「重新开始」。
• 定稿后处理里，重试也解决不了的失败不再显示「重试」，说明里写明该怎么处理。「重试失败步骤」只重跑能重试的步骤。角色状态字段冲突时，显示可读的说明。
• 定稿写入角色状态后，角色页自动刷新，不用重开作品，未保存的编辑会保留。
• 操作进行中切换界面语言后，之后出现的提示按新语言显示。英文界面的计数按单复数书写。
• 断网或连接中途断开时，生成记录记为网络失败，不再记成服务商失败。
• 打开作品期间，如果别的程序改动了作品文件，书童会拒绝打开，并提示关闭占用作品文件夹的程序后重试。
• 运行时升级到 Electron 44，包含上游的安全修复。打开或保存文件时，对话框会从上次用过的文件夹打开。

性能：

• 150 章的作品，打开作品从约 8 秒降到约 0.5 秒，运行侧页从约 29 秒降到约 1 秒，蓝图页从约 20 秒降到约 0.15 秒。运行侧页开着写稿时，其他页面不再跟着卡住。
• 单章写稿保存后，「可恢复」里不再留下候选卡。取消、失败或中断留下的候选可以点「不再显示」。

修复：

• 用备份在两台电脑间反复导出和恢复后，角色「当前状态」会变成「历史派生」，新章定稿时角色状态更新报来源冲突。现在打开作品时会自动修复，来源章节已删除的情况也包括在内。
• 在已定稿的章上回退再定稿后，写下一章会被「重复记录」拦下。现在只保留一份当前定稿，打开作品时也会修复已有的重复定稿。
• 重新生成蓝图时，已保存的作者指导和章节要点会被清空。现在新结果留空的字段保持原值。
• 蓝图里某个字段为空时，输入框会残留上一章的文字，保存后可能写进本章。现在空字段显示为空。
• 再次采用已经处理过的恢复稿时，提示「这份恢复稿已经处理过」，不再误报来源已变。

1.4.0 adds Revise with note for selected text, models by stage, and inference of settings when you import your own manuscript. Large projects open faster, and the run sheet loads faster. It also fixes data problems after backup round trips, after rolling back and re-finalizing a chapter, and when blueprints are regenerated. Project data, settings, and the install location are unchanged.

New features:

• When you select chapter text, the toolbar has Revise with note. Write an instruction of up to 2,000 characters, then review the result before you accept it. Press Ctrl/⌘+Enter to submit or Esc to cancel. If a revision is interrupted, recovery keeps your instruction.
• Models by stage. Under Settings → Advanced → Models by stage, you can assign a model to planning, drafting, review, refinement, and finalization. Stages without an assignment use the default model. The finalization model applies only to the first post-processing after you finalize a single chapter. Auto-finalizing in batch writing, post-processing during imports, and retries of steps that already ran keep their original model. The refinement, plot tree, and foreshadowing dialogs preselect the model for their stage. When you delete a model, stages that used it switch back to the default.
• When you import your own manuscript, you can select Also infer settings, architecture, characters, and blueprints. It is selected by default and shows the estimated AI usage. Inference only fills empty fields. It does not overwrite existing settings, architecture, writing style, or blueprints. Results that differ from existing content appear as Inferred suggestions on the run card, and you can adopt them one at a time or all together. Inferred characters appear as pending character proposals and are not added to the cast directly.
• After you roll back a finalized chapter and finalize it again, version history shows the old final as Replaced final; read-only. You can still view it, copy it, and roll back to it.

Improvements:

• In model settings, the model name is one text box with a list of candidates. After you enter the base_url and API key, the app fetches the endpoint's model list automatically. You can also type any model name. Switching providers clears the API key and model name, so an old key is not sent to a new address. When Save is unavailable, the form lists the missing fields.
• A connection test now stops waiting after a timeout and asks you to check your network or proxy. Cloud models get 30 seconds and local models get 120 seconds. Before, the test waited the full 300 seconds. When you turn off thinking for Gemini 3, the app sends the lowest level that the model supports, and settings note that Gemini 3 cannot turn thinking off completely.
• Local embedding models work without an API key for knowledge-base imports, search, and index rebuilds. Cloud embedding models still need a key.
• Requests are no longer refused in advance based on an estimated length. If you set a small context window in model settings, requests are still sent. If a prompt really exceeds the model's limit, the card explains why and suggests a model with a longer context, or a shorter chapter brief and less reference material.
• When you import a novel, the request and run-time limits are sized to the whole book. If an import stops because the request or time limit was reached, the message says what was saved and what to do next. Imports of your own manuscript no longer point you to a Restart button you cannot use.
• In finalization post-processing, failures that a retry cannot fix no longer show Retry, and the message says what to do instead. Retry failed steps reruns only the steps that can be retried. A character-state field conflict shows a readable explanation.
• After finalization writes character states, the cast page refreshes without reopening the project, and unsaved edits are kept.
• If you switch the interface language while an operation runs, later notices use the new language. Counts in the English interface use singular and plural forms.
• When the network drops or a connection breaks mid-stream, the generation record says network failure instead of provider failure.
• If another program changes the project files while a project opens, Pagekin refuses to open it and asks you to close the program that uses the project folder and try again.
• The runtime is upgraded to Electron 44, which includes upstream security fixes. File dialogs open in the folder you used last.

Performance:

• For a 150-chapter project, opening the project drops from about 8 seconds to about 0.5 seconds, the run sheet from about 29 seconds to about 1 second, and the blueprint page from about 20 seconds to about 0.15 seconds. Other pages no longer stall while chapters are written with the run sheet open.
• After a single chapter is written and saved, Recoverable no longer keeps a candidate card for it. Candidates left by a cancel, failure, or interruption have a Hide button.

Fixes:

• After repeated export and restore between two computers, a character's Current state could become history-derived, and character updates failed with a source conflict when a new chapter was finalized. Opening the project now repairs this, including when the source chapter was deleted.
• After you rolled back a finalized chapter and finalized it again, writing the next chapter was blocked by a duplicate-record error. Each chapter now keeps one current final, and opening a project repairs existing duplicates.
• Regenerating blueprints cleared saved author guidance and chapter notes. Fields that the new result leaves blank now keep their saved values.
• When a blueprint field was empty, the text box could show the previous chapter's text, and saving could write it into the current chapter. Empty fields now stay empty.
• Accepting a recovery draft that was already handled now says it was already handled, instead of reporting that the source changed.

Improvements:

• Errors appear in the interface language. The Chinese interface no longer shows bare error codes such as PROJECT_SESSION_STALE, and the English interface no longer mixes in Chinese text. This covers opening, creating, and deleting projects, external file access, the cast, blueprints, and plot, finalizing, revising, and deleting chapters, the knowledge base and retrieval, model connection tests and MCP, and import.
• When you import a reference novel or your own manuscript, cancellation and failure messages use the interface language that was active when the import started. This applies to the run card, the import dialog, and the list of resumable imports. In the English interface, Estimated AI usage before an import now uses the same itemized estimate as the Chinese interface instead of a fixed number.
• When a connection test in model settings gets an HTTP error from the service, the message shows the status code and asks you to check the Base URL, API key, and model name.
• Diagnostics and budget notices in the run sheet no longer use technical terms such as token. The setting is consistently named Max output tokens.

Fixes:

• Review results in the run sheet's Recoverable cards no longer show the model's raw JSON. A review report that can be parsed shows the verdict, the number of comments, and up to two comments, with issues before suggestions. One that cannot be parsed is described as structured review output. Copy still gives you the original output.
• Security update: js-yaml, which automatic updates use to read update information, is upgraded to 4.3.2 to fix a denial-of-service issue in YAML parsing.

• 「留作草稿，等我审稿」的批次写完后，改过前面某章再逐章定稿，之后继续写下一章不再保存失败。旧版本留下的已审稿稿件可以重新审稿、修稿，并作为前章继续写。
• 生成失败时，运行卡片按界面语言说明原因，不再显示 Error invoking remote method 这类原始报错。
• 情节大纲生成途中改了模型或设定时，会说明哪类来源变了、停在第几章，并给出「从第 N 章重新生成」。设置页保存一个正在被生成使用的模型前，会先确认。
• 定稿后处理断流后，重试会重新请求模型。作者取消或总时长用尽的请求，在 AI 调用记录里记为已取消。运行侧页的 AI 调用记录现在包含主进程发出的全部请求。
• 已写进正式大纲的批次不再列为可恢复。单章失败后再跑含这一章的批量创作，运行侧页仍列出它的恢复卡。
• 架构页、大纲生成对话框、角色页、版本历史和启动页修复了十余处显示问题，包括只有序章的大纲、已删除稿件的提示、窄窗口下角色档案的排布。
• 英文界面下，写稿、蓝图、角色卡等工作流的报错都显示英文；1024 宽窗口里角色名单页的按钮和下拉框完整显示。
• 界面上的说明文字在浅色和深色下对比度都达到 WCAG AA 的 4.5:1。

Starting with 1.3.1, the app is renamed Pagekin (书童 in Chinese). Its former name was AI Novel Writer. This release also fixes a set of issues reported after 1.3.0. Project data, settings, and the install location are unchanged.

Rename and new features:

• The window title, library, startup screen, and Settings > About & updates use the Pagekin name, with a new page-sprite logo and app icon. The About page mentions the former name so you can recognize the app.
• On Windows, the Start menu, desktop shortcut, and Apps & features show "书童 Pagekin". A taskbar pin from an earlier version stops working after the upgrade. Unpin it, open Pagekin, and pin it again.
• On macOS, the app is now named 书童. After you drag the new app into Applications, the old AI小说作家 app stays where it is. Projects and settings live outside the app, so deleting the old app does not affect them.
• Settings > Writing skills can import from this computer. Choose a skill folder or a single file. Text files referenced by SKILL.md are installed with it, and the review card lists which files are bundled and which are not installed. Thanks to @qew4476 for the original implementation.
• The Common settings group now includes Retrieval model. The AI models and Retrieval model pages are marked Required and show Not set until you configure them.

Fixes:

• Opening the Diagnostics tab in the run sheet no longer squeezes the main area into one character per line. When the window is narrow, the sheet floats over the content.
• After a batch kept as drafts for review, editing an earlier chapter and then finalizing chapter by chapter no longer makes the next chapter fail to save. Reviewed drafts from older versions can be reviewed again, revised, and used as the previous chapter.
• When generation fails, the run card explains the cause in the interface language instead of showing raw errors such as Error invoking remote method.
• If the model or project setup changes while a plot outline is generating, the app says which source changed and where it stopped, and offers to regenerate from that chapter. Saving a model that a running generation uses now asks for confirmation first.
• Retrying a finalization step after a dropped stream now sends a new model request. Requests cancelled by the author or by the total time limit are recorded as cancelled in the AI call log, and the log now includes every request the main process sends.
• Batches already written into the official outline are no longer listed as recoverable. After a single chapter fails, a batch run that includes it still shows its recovery card.
• More than ten display fixes across the architecture page, the outline generation dialog, the character pages, version history, and the startup screen. These include prologue-only outlines, notices for deleted drafts, and character profile layout in narrow windows.
• In the English interface, errors from drafting, blueprints, character cards, and other workflows appear in English, and the cast page's buttons and role menu fit at 1024 px.
• Secondary text meets WCAG AA contrast of 4.5:1 in both light and dark themes.

• 书房列出全部作品，可以新建、打开、移除最近记录、导入旧项目副本；首次启动直接进入空书房。
• 架构页分四节显示状态，主按钮按当前状态在「AI 生成架构」「继续生成架构」和「下一步：章节蓝图」之间切换；角色名单与架构放在一起编辑。
• 蓝图页的主按钮是「写第 N 章」，点开只出现一个小弹层，不再弹出大表单。
• 正文单章视图里一章可以从待写走到定稿：写稿、审稿、按意见修稿、合并、定稿都在同一页完成。正文编辑器支持 Tab 插入两个全角空格，Esc 再按 Tab 离开编辑区。
• 情节线索、知识库和版本历史合并为作品资料页，在资料页之间切换不会丢掉打开的正文标签。
• 生成任务统一在运行侧页里查看：进行中、历史和诊断三个分页，可以取消、暂停批量、确认继续、复制或放弃恢复候选。顶栏显示运行进度。
• 内容区使用标签页，可以同时打开多章与多页；关闭有未保存修改的标签前会确认。
• 外观只保留浅色和深色。旧的 galaxy 主题迁成深色，paper 和 light 迁成浅色；旧皮肤目录原样保留，不再生效。
• 中文和英文界面全部翻译，写一章的全过程可以只用键盘完成，途经的每个可操作元素都有焦点框。

1.3.0 replaces the whole interface with the new Paper and Ink writing interface, organized in the order a novel gets written: setup, architecture, blueprint, and prose, plus project references. The old Workbench interface and image skins are removed.

• The workflow spine on the left lists setup, architecture, blueprint, and prose, with progress for each step. Opening a project lands on the chapter you were last writing.
• The library lists every project. You can create, open, remove recent entries, and import a copy of a legacy project. First launch opens an empty library.
• The architecture page shows the status of its four sections. Its main button switches between "Generate architecture", "Continue architecture", and "Next: chapter blueprint" based on that status. The character roster is edited alongside the architecture.
• The blueprint page's main button is "Write chapter N". It opens a small popover instead of a large form.
• The single-chapter view takes a chapter from unwritten to finalized on one page: drafting, review, revision from review notes, merging, and finalization. In the prose editor, Tab inserts two full-width spaces; press Esc then Tab to leave the editor.
• Plot threads, the knowledge base, and version history are combined into project reference pages. Switching between them keeps open chapter tabs.
• All generation runs are shown in one run sheet with In progress, History, and Diagnostics tabs. You can cancel, pause a batch, confirm continuation, and copy or discard recovery candidates. The title bar shows run progress.
• The content area uses tabs, so several chapters and pages can stay open. Closing a tab with unsaved changes asks for confirmation.
• Appearance offers light and dark only. The old galaxy theme migrates to dark; paper and light migrate to light. The old skin folder is left in place but no longer applies.
• Chinese and English interfaces are fully translated. A whole chapter can be written with the keyboard alone, and every interactive element along the way shows a focus ring.

The assistant chat entry is hidden in the new interface for now and will return separately.

Download a Windows x64, macOS Apple Silicon, or macOS Intel installer from this page. Users on 1.1.0 or 1.2.x get an in-app update notice. On Windows, the app downloads and installs the update; on macOS, the notice opens this page, and you download the new installer manually. 本轮重构涉及 1008 个文件。重点改进规划、续写、人物管理和项目恢复。

• 规划长篇时，每批默认生成 5 章大纲或蓝图，可选 1 至 10 章，再继续下一批。
• 大纲和蓝图默认每章目标 600 字，可设 1 至 1000 字。生成结果超过目标也会完整保存。
• 蓝图单次请求最多处理 5 章。内容不完整时可缩小批次，或改为逐章生成。
• 大纲生成中断时，可通过正常、紧凑 2 级恢复继续处理。已经完整生成的章节可以保留。
• 人物多的故事不再受原来的 12 个角色、8 条关系、12 个新角色候选限制。
• 长姓名和详细关系说明可以保留，不再因超过 32 字符或 80 字符而拒收蓝图。
• 正文超出目标 30% 时，最多压缩 1 次。压缩后仍超长，也会保留全文并提示作者。
• 修稿建议长度为原稿的 70% 至 130%。超过上界仍可保存，明显截断的稿件仍会检查。
• 正文太短时，最多补写 7 轮。模型会看到本章全文，不再只看到末尾 1600 字符。
• 接着写下一章时，模型会收到直接前 1 章的完整正文，更容易接上人物行动和情节。
• 大纲有明确章节划分时，只带入当前 1 章和全局设定，减少无关章节占用输入空间。
• 发现新人物时，作者可选 3 种处理：新建、关联已有角色、暂不处理。同名人物不会直接合并。
• 审稿、直接修稿、按意见修稿这 3 个入口支持恢复。保存失败时保留候选内容，供作者继续处理。
• 支持 v1.0.0 和 v1.1.0 两代旧项目。导入时创建新版副本，保留旧项目，转换过程不调用 AI。
• 项目归档使用 SHA-256 校验。恢复时创建新副本，保留正文、历史和创作资料。
• 可通过 WebDAV 手动上传、下载完整项目。归档传输期限为 30 分钟，大小上限为 16 GiB。
• 新建或重置模型时，最大输出默认设为 65536 Tokens。实际可用长度仍取决于模型能力。
• 审稿、目录蓝图、单章紧凑蓝图这 3 类请求，取消原来的固定 4K 或 8K 输出限制。

1. Character progress now distinguishes author input, model-derived state, and legacy data with unknown provenance, and derived material returns to its finalized source prose before it is used for later writing.
2. Chapter materials now separate the author task, future plans, finalized history, and unfinalized candidate drafts while retaining adjacent source paragraphs that may carry causality, negation, or item transfers.
3. Review-draft batches now continue from the exact saved candidate draft IDs, versions, and prose selected in the current run instead of treating candidates as finalized history or keeping only the previous ending.
4. When optional material exceeds the budget or cannot be located, the app records the coverage gap instead of silently dropping the chapter's explicit task or hard requirements.
5. Reviews now show whether each chapter event is completed, with source excerpts to help identify actions that were only prepared or postponed.
