We're excited to announce v3.2.0 — the biggest update yet to E.T.B. Save Manager, bringing a wealth of new features, significant performance improvements, and a fully rebuilt codebase.

✨ What's New

🗑️ Soft Delete & Recycle Bin

  • Saves are no longer gone in an instant.
  • Soft delete moves files to a trash state (.sav.trash), letting you restore them at any time.
  • Permanent deletion only happens after the undo window expires — giving you peace of mind with every delete.

↩️ Undo / Redo

  • Full undo/redo support across archive operations.
  • Accidentally deleted or modified a save? Undo it with Ctrl+Z.

🔧 Improvements & Under the Hood

  • Full TypeScript Migration — Every line of the frontend has been migrated to TypeScript, delivering better type safety, fewer edge-case bugs, and a more maintainable codebase.
  • Performance Optimizations — Parallel save processing, incremental loading (metadata-first, details-on-demand), and virtual scrolling for large save collections.
  • 13 Themes — Light, Dark, and 11 vibrant color themes to suit any mood, with improved theme caching.
  • Self-Hosted Fonts — Google Fonts are now self-hosted via @fontsource-variable, eliminating external CDN dependencies and improving offline reliability.
  • Enhanced Security — Strengthened path validation and input filtering across all file operations.
  • Code Cleanup — Removed legacy plugin system, feedback service, seasonal themes, and unused language packs — a leaner, faster application.

⚠️ Note on Removed Redundant Features

In order to improve performance, maintainability, and overall user experience, this release removes a number of redundant or no-longer-maintained features (including the legacy plugin system, built-in feedback service, seasonal themes, and some unused language packs).
We understand that some users may have grown accustomed to certain features, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these removals may cause to your workflow.
We will continue to listen to user feedback and carefully evaluate whether to add back or reintroduce features in the future, while keeping the core functionality strong. If you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to us via GitHub Issues.
