HanX 2.9.0
HanX 2.9 adds Windows and Linux desktop applications and a portable CLI with the same document, spreadsheet, conversion and MCP engine.
Install from npm:
npm install -g @juyoungsuh/hanx
hanx setupInstall from Homebrew on macOS or Linux:
brew install StudentsView/tap/hanx
hanx setupSetup offers GUI only, CLI only, or both. Use hanx setup --components all --yes for unattended installation. Run hanx --help, hanx --convert, or hanx mcp.
- macOS 13+: universal native app, notarized pkg and CLI ZIP.
- Windows x64: per-user Setup.exe with component selection, standalone CLI ZIP with runtime DLLs.
- Ubuntu 22.04+ x64: AppImage, Debian package and standalone CLI tarball.
- CLI and MCP support spreadsheet cells, formulas, document editing, slides and XML. The desktop AI connection panel provides local MCP settings.
- Windows/Linux PDF export requires local LibreOffice; PDF text import requires Poppler. The installer offers these tools as an explicit optional selection.
- Windows binaries are unsigned. ARM64 Windows/Linux binaries are not included. PDF import extracts selectable text; it does not reconstruct page layout or perform OCR. Unsupported office objects can be omitted during model conversion; check warnings and retain originals.
See installation and screenshots and the CLI guide. SHA256SUMS and the installation manifest identify the distributed files.
