FWSS v1.5.0

Status: Pre-release. Live on Calibnet since 22 Oct 2026 and on Mainnet since 23 Oct 2026; tracked in the release issue.

Summary

FWSS v1.5.0 moves the FWSS proxy from the v1.4.0 UUPS monolith to the upstream ERC-8167 dispatcher, which routes each function selector to a module. The proxy addresses do not change, and the proxy serves the same FWSS methods as v1.4.0, apart from the UUPS and initializer methods. The switch happens once per network, in one delayed upgrade through FWSSDispatcherTransition. See the changelog.

Action Required For Integrators

• After the transition executes on a network, read FWSS state from the FWSS proxy itself; it serves the methods previously defined in FilecoinWarmStorageServiceStateView. Until then, keep reading through the StateView already deployed on that network.
• Future FWSS upgrades are announced with announceMigration(migration, delayEpochs) and run with migrate(migration). Monitoring that watches announceUpgradePlan or upgradeToAndCall needs updating.
