Known limitations
- Disabling or deleting the addon does not reset the settings. The addon changes the game's own settings, not adding settings on top. Unticking Vanilla Questing in the AddOn list, or deleting the folder, leaves the settings where they are. Run
/vq offbefore you disable or delete it to restore the settings. - No Automatic Quest Tracking also stops the few minutes of tracking you get when you pick up a
quest object. The game controls both with one setting.
Fixed
- Chat commands that need the UI to reload or map to cycle open are refused during combat.
- No Automatic Quest Tracking says what it actually does. The game uses one setting for two
things — tracking a quest when you accept it, and tracking one for a few minutes when you pick up
a quest object — and the option removes both. It only mentioned the first. - The preset says when an experimental option is on, rather than pretending: Vanilla (1 experimental on). The "Disabled" preset is
named after the client: Mists of Pandaria — because that is what you get, and Custom
is no longer offered as a choice. It still appears
while it is the one you are on.
Changed
- Plain Text Achievements now follows Plain Text Quest Tracker.
- Chat says much less and colors reworked.
/vq resetis gone. It did the same job as/vq on, and the word read as a second way to
switch the AddOn off, which it never was. The Defaults button in the options panel still
resets everything.- The note under the Experimental heading is the same size as the option names it sits above,
in the ordinary text colour rather than the heading's orange, and sits closer to them.
