Welcome To 10H10 Build 2610130!

Build 2610130 expands on Experimental Build 2610125 with a redesigned Start Menu, a new Feedback Hub, Windows Security, additional desktop functionality, UI refinements, & more improvements throughout WebWindows.

10H10 continues its from-scratch development approach with a stronger focus on consistent Mica styling, improved application experiences, adaptive layouts, & a more complete Windows-inspired desktop.

Build 2610130 is the Beta release of 10H10. It follows Experimental Build 2610125, which introduced the original 10H10 desktop foundation. The additions & changes below primarily cover what has been introduced or refined since that Experimental build.

Additions Since 10H10 Build 2610125:

  • Redesigned Start Menu:

A new Start Menu has been added to the 10H10 desktop with a responsive Mica interface, application navigation, & account information.

The Start Menu includes:

  • A dedicated applications grid.
  • Account information & profile presentation.
  • An integrated news area.
  • Mica styling based on the shared glass-color system.
  • Adaptive placement based on the taskbar.
  • Responsive sizing for different screen layouts.

The Start Menu follows the same material system used by the taskbar, Search, Settings, & other desktop flyouts.

  • Feedback Hub:

A new Feedback Hub application has been added to 10H10.

Feedback Hub allows users to:

  • Submit suggestions.
  • Report problems.
  • Send compliments.
  • Review previously submitted feedback.
  • Delete saved feedback entries.

Submitted feedback is stored locally in the browser rather than automatically being sent to an external server.

If persistent browser storage is unavailable, the interface can temporarily retain feedback for the current session.

  • Windows Security:

10H10 now includes a dedicated Windows Security application with a redesigned interface adapted to the newer desktop.

Windows Security includes:

  • A dedicated Security application window.
  • Updater Security preferences.
  • Automatic update scanning controls.
  • Update Type Detection.
  • Feature & Major Build identification settings.
  • Defender-key authorization for supported security-setting changes.
  • Updated navigation, controls, & Mica materials.

The Defender key is stored locally & is used to authorize changes to supported Windows Security settings.

PIN Security is currently unavailable in Build 2610130 while the newer security experience continues development.

Windows Security in WebWindows is a simulated application interface, not a replacement for operating-system antivirus protection.

  • Additional Desktop Application Integration:

The 10H10 taskbar now provides access to a broader set of desktop applications & system controls.

Available entry points include:

  • Start Menu.
  • Windows Search.
  • Settings.
  • About Windows.
  • Windows Security.
  • Feedback Hub.
  • Quick Settings.
  • Calendar & date/time controls.

These additions make the desktop more connected while preserving the window-management foundation introduced in Build 2610125.

Changes Since 10H10 Build 2610125:

  • Start Menu & Desktop Consistency:

The desktop has been further refined to accommodate the new Start Menu & additional application windows.

Changes include:

  • More consistent taskbar interactions.

  • Shared Mica colors between desktop panels.

  • Responsive Start Menu positioning.

  • Updated spacing & interface alignment.

  • More coordinated hover & selection behavior.

  • Windows Search Refinements:

The Search flyout introduced in Build 2610125 has received additional interface refinements.

Changes include:

  • Improved Search result presentation.
  • More consistent Mica styling.
  • Refined result-row interactions.
  • Responsive flyout sizing.
  • Better integration with the desktop.
  • Continued support for Glass Color customization through a color picker, HEX input, & reset controls.

Search remains focused on opening supported applications, settings, & desktop actions.

  • Settings UI & Responsiveness:

The Settings application has received further adjustments to improve consistency across different window sizes.

Changes include:

  • Improved sidebar adaptation.
  • Cleaner option rows.
  • Updated spacing & typography.
  • More consistent navigation arrows & chevrons.
  • Refined expandable settings sections.
  • Improved interaction behavior when resizing the Settings window.
  • Better consistency between Settings pages.

These changes build on the responsive Settings foundation introduced in Experimental Build 2610125.

  • Shared Mica & Glass System:

The shared glass appearance system continues to receive refinements throughout 10H10.

Changes include:

  • More consistent glass colors across compatible windows.
  • Refined transparency presentation.
  • Improved foreground contrast.
  • More coordinated hover & selection surfaces.
  • Greater consistency between taskbar panels, application windows, & system flyouts.

The interface continues to use glass color as its primary appearance system rather than a separate Light/Dark color-mode setting.

  • Windows Update Interface Refinements:

Windows Update has received additional presentation & interaction improvements.

The interface includes:

  • Manual update-check controls.
  • An Available updates section.
  • Update history.
  • A latest-updates preference.
  • Windows specifications.
  • Windows Insider Program navigation.

The goal is to make update-related information easier to navigate while maintaining the existing update-checking foundation.

  • Windows Specifications Changes:

The Windows specifications section has received further interaction & styling adjustments.

Changes include:

  • More consistent expandable-section behavior.

  • Improved chevron interactions.

  • Better alignment with other Settings option rows.

  • Updated presentation of version & build information.

  • Quick Settings Refinements:

Quick Settings has received additional interface consistency improvements.

The panel continues to include:

  • Desktop brightness adjustment.
  • Night light controls.
  • Adjustable Night light intensity.
  • Expandable Night light intensity settings.
  • Access to Settings.

These controls are presented through the shared 10H10 desktop materials.

  • Calendar & Date/Time Refinements:

The calendar flyout continues to use the newer 10H10 visual system.

The interface includes:

  • Month navigation.

  • A Today shortcut.

  • Current date presentation.

  • Access to language, clock, & date settings.

  • Mica styling consistent with other system flyouts.

  • HDR-Inspired Wallpaper & Material Improvements:

The wallpaper presentation introduced in Experimental Build 2610125 remains part of 10H10.

Its visual system includes:

  • Highlight-aware wallpaper lighting.
  • Threshold-based bloom effects.
  • Wallpaper-colored influence on Mica surfaces.
  • Display P3 support paths for compatible browsers & displays.

These effects are designed to improve wallpaper appearance & perceived visual depth without requiring hardware HDR support.

  • Window & Control Consistency:

Application windows, flyouts, navigation rows, selection controls, & other desktop elements have received additional visual refinements.

These changes focus on more consistent sizing, spacing, readability, & interaction feedback across the newer desktop.
