Welcome To 9H09 Build 269105!

Build 269105 builds on top of the early Build 269102 with new features, UI remakes, Taskbar improvements, Settings changes, and more.

Even though everything has been tested & looks final, expect possible UX, UI, and feature changes in future 9H09 builds.

Additions:

  • New Taskbar Location Options:
    The Taskbar can now be moved to the:

    • Bottom.
    • Top.
    • Left.
    • Right.

  • New Windows Update Features:
    Windows Update now includes:

    • Update status.
    • Last checked information.
    • Check for updates.
    • Pause updates.
    • Update history.
    • System information.
    • Edition.
    • Version.
    • OS Build.
    • KD Version.

  • New Search Overlay Content:
    Search now includes:

    • A search bar inside the overlay.
    • Top Apps.
    • Settings information.
    • System Information.
    • Quick Actions.
    • Secret Dog.
    • Lock Screen.
    • Restart.
    • Labels showing what certain apps and actions are.

Changes:

  • Windows Update UX & UI Remake:
    The existing Windows Update section has been redesigned with a new layout and clearer organization.

  • Settings UI Remake:
    The Settings app received a UI remake to make its sections cleaner and more consistent with the rest of 9H09.

  • Search Overlay UX & UI Remake:
    The previous Search overlay has been redesigned from its older layout into a larger and more organized search experience.

  • Personalization UI Changes:
    The existing Personalization page has been reorganized and cleaned up, including areas such as:

    • Background.
    • Dynamic Lock Screen Background.
    • Colors & transparency effects.
    • Visual effects.

  • Taskbar Changes:
    The existing Taskbar has been changed to support the new location options added in this build.

Removed:

  • OOBE:
    The OOBE has been removed.

    It took up extra space and also felt like a weird feature to keep inside WebWindows in its previous form.

Fixes:

The entire build has been bug tested.

All bugs found during development were tested and fixed before release.

There are currently no known bugs in Build 269105.

Work In Progress:

Some parts of 9H09 are still being developed.

Anything unfinished is considered work in progress, not a known bug.

Features, UX, and UI may continue to be changed, expanded, or remade in later 9H09 builds.
