v0.2.1 — Documentation and dependency maintenance
Pre-releaseDigest
v0.2.1 polishes the released Community Core & Shell experience: the API reference opens in dark mode, remembers your theme choice and exposes English, Russian and Simplified Chinese navigation without losing the current page. It also integrates all three pending Dependabot updates and fixes a stale documentation lock. This remains a pre-alpha maintenance release; M1 is complete and M2/M3 remain in progress.
What's Changed
Fixed
- Dark-by-default API documentation, a persistent light/dark switch and a visible language selector: PR #253.
- The hashed documentation lock now actually installs mkdocstrings-python 2.0.9; a regression rejects direct requirements that differ from the lock: PR #248.
Changed
- Development tooling: mypy 2.4.0, Ruff 0.16.10, ast-serialize 0.12.1 and librt 0.16.0.
- SHA-pinned Pages upload/deploy actions: 5.0.0 and 5.0.1, from PR #249 and PR #250.
- README roadmap markers distinguish completed, in-progress and planned milestones: PR #251.
- Release metadata and public-site examples point to v0.2.1; master/develop histories are joined through merge commits.
Documentation
- Quickstart, README, changelog and live API reference.
- Russian and Chinese API routes localize the navigation and retain explicitly labeled English fallback content. No complete API translation is claimed.
Validation
- Master Python quality passed on release commit
f19b996aa54ee3e05a611090d8fd1a63b3d37c16: CPython 3.11–3.14 across Linux, Windows and macOS, container quality, isolated synthetic labs and pinned Juice Shop regression. - Master Documentation and Pages passed on the same commit: source/locale checks, clean-wheel static API builds, real offline formula rendering, composed artifact validation and deployment with the updated Pages actions.
- Master CodeQL passed for Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and Actions.
- Local final quality gate: 1,201 tests passed, 6 explicitly skipped; every production module passed the >80% combined statement/branch coverage contract. All 62 focused documentation tests passed.
- Live Chromium checks verified the dark default, remembered light selection after reload and same-document Russian/Chinese navigation.
- Wheel and sdist are the exact successful master Python 3.11 CI artifacts. Both were installed into clean environments and smoke-tested before publication. Uploaded SHA-256 digests were verified; see
SHA256SUMS.
Breaking Changes
None. Runtime APIs, security policy and capability scope are unchanged from v0.2.0.
Try it from source
Use CPython 3.11 or newer and Git:
git clone --branch v0.2.1 --depth 1 https://github.com/Fuzzy-Technologies/1337.git
cd 1337
python -m pip install uv==0.11.33
uv sync --locked
uv run --locked 1337 --version
uv run --locked 1337 doctor
uv run --locked 1337 update --json
uv run --locked 1337 shellThe version is 1337 0.2.1. Inside the shell, try help, commands, lens devsecops, select asset:demo, context, palette, history and quit. The quickstart includes a temporary workspace/scope example and isolated lab commands.
Notes
This is a pre-alpha prerelease. The full split-pane workbench, native discovery, Quick Scan, reachability and AI/MCP integrations remain roadmap work. Scope membership does not issue execution authorization. Docker/Nmap remain optional and the core has no mandatory runtime dependencies. The immutable v0.2.0 release and tag are preserved.
