WildScale now finds the problems an editor would fix by hand: black bars, split screens and graphics cut off by the canvas.

Download

Download WildScaleSetup-1.1.5.exe below and run it. You do not need administrator rights. Restart Premiere Pro, then open the panel from Window > UXP Plugins, or Window > Extensions in Premiere Pro 25.

The installer has a self-signed signature from Drugela, so Windows may show a warning or an unknown publisher. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

New

  • Black bars: WildScale measures bars inside your footage and adds a Crop effect, only on the sides that have them.
  • Split screens: the crop stays off the seam. Show both sides with blur, or follow the person's side.
  • Rules per reference: each reference decides which graphics may show, and whether it may zoom out to clear them.
  • Reference list: click a reference to jump to its clip. The list is saved with the sequence.
  • Learning from hand edits: clips you move by hand are learned on the next Rescale, without pressing Learn.

Fixed

  • A clip you choose as a reference now always follows your choice, even when it looks like another reference.
  • Rescale no longer stops with Cannot read properties of null on clips Premiere has not finished placing.
  • Premiere Pro 25: Rescale no longer stops with Clip not found when a copy lands a frame away.
  • Premiere Pro 25: back blur copies no longer lay the sound of the whole file on the track below.

Good to know

  • Your first Rescale after this update analyzes every clip again.
  • Graphics rules cover titles, text and text-heavy pages. For a logo or a picture without text, use Must hide or Must show.
  • Bars must be black. Gray or blurred side panels are not found yet.
  • Crop has been checked on real footage for its measurements, but this release has not had a full run in Premiere Pro. Please report anything that looks wrong.
  • Coloring clips lays them down again, which clears other effects. WildScale adds its Crop back after that.
