Release list
WildScale 1.3.0
WildScale now runs on Windows and on Intel Macs. This release adds a styled installer, a monitor for the service and a Low latency mode for older computers.
Download
Windows: download WildScaleSetup-1.3.0.exe below and run it. You do not need administrator rights. Restart Premiere Pro, then open the panel from Window > UXP Plugins in 26.5.2 and later, or Window > Extensions in 25.0 to 26.5.1.
The installer has a self-signed signature from Drugela, so Windows may show a warning or an unknown publisher. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
Mac: quit Premiere Pro with Cmd+Q, then download WildScale-1.3.0-mac-x86_64.pkg below and open it. It asks for your administrator password. Start Premiere Pro and open the panel from Window > Extensions.
The package is not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS may refuse to open it. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
New
- Mac version: the panel, the analysis service and the installer now run on Intel Macs.
- WildScale Monitor: a film strip in the Windows system tray or the Mac menu bar. It is dim while the service sleeps, solid when it is awake, and rolls while a job runs. Click it to start or stop the service or open the last error.
- Low latency: the lightest mode in Settings. It checks the fewest frames, skips the motion scan and uses two processor threads, so Premiere stays responsive. In one test on a 2014 MacBook Pro it finished about 40% sooner than Balanced.
- Styled installer: Setup now shows what it installs and how to read the monitor.
Fixed
- Windows: a second copy of the launcher can no longer share the port with the first.
Known limits
- This release has not had a full Rescale run in Premiere Pro on either system. Please report anything that looks wrong.
- The Low latency timing comes from the Mac test and has not been measured on Windows.
- Low latency can miss short titles and animated changes inside a clip, so check the result.
- On Windows, the percentage shows when you point at the monitor icon.
- The Mac version was tested with Premiere Pro 26.0 on macOS 15 on one Intel MacBook Pro. Apple silicon Macs are not tested.
- On a Mac, FFmpeg is not included. Without it, a built-in decoder finds the cuts, and each clip is framed as a whole. With Homebrew, run
brew install ffmpeg. - Text detection runs on the processor on a Mac.
Requirements
- Windows: Adobe Premiere Pro 25.0 or later, on Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- Mac: Adobe Premiere Pro 26.0, on macOS 13 or later with an Intel processor

WildScale 1.2.0
This release brings together everything since 1.1.0: automatic canvas fixes, rules per reference, the Mr.Rescale preset and support for every Premiere Pro from 25.0.
Download
Download WildScaleSetup-1.2.0.exe below and run it.
Highlights
- Mr.Rescale: a learned preset with 260 framed shots, selected by default. Your references always come first.
- Black bars: WildScale measures bars inside your footage and adds a Crop effect, only on the sides that have them.
- Split screens: the crop stays off the seam. Show both sides with blur, or follow the person's side.
- Rules per reference: each reference decides which graphics may show, and whether it may zoom out to clear them.
- Reference list: click a reference to jump to its clip. The list is saved with the sequence.
- Mark editing: move and resize marks with handles, nudge them with the arrow keys, or type exact pixel values.
- Learning from hand edits: clips you move by hand are learned on the next Rescale.
- Own cut detection: it needs no FFmpeg, shows progress and can be stopped. Premiere's detection only runs when you tick it.
- Premiere Pro 25.0 and later: every version is now covered, including 26.0 to 26.5.1.
Fixed
- Titles, graphics and nested sequences no longer stop Rescale. They stay as they are, and the report counts them.
- Service errors now say what went wrong, and the last one is kept in
last-error.txtin%LOCALAPPDATA%\WildScale. - Videos behind a mount point Windows does not trust no longer stop Rescale with
WinError 448. - Setup stops the WildScale service first, so updating no longer fails with
DeleteFile failed; code 5.
Good to know
- Your first Rescale after this update analyzes every clip again.
- In 25.0 to 26.5.1 you cannot color single clips, and clips of another resolution stay as they are.
- Graphics rules cover titles, text and text-heavy pages. For a logo or a picture without text, use Must hide or Must show.
- Bars must be black. Gray or blurred side panels are not found yet.
- This release has not had a full Rescale run in Premiere Pro. Please report anything that looks wrong.
Requirements
- Adobe Premiere Pro 25.0 or later
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit

This update stops a system check from blocking Rescale, and service errors now say what went wrong.
Download
Download WildScaleSetup-1.1.9.exe below and run it. You do not need administrator rights. Restart Premiere Pro, then open the panel from Window > UXP Plugins in 26.5.2 and later, or Window > Extensions in 25.0 to 26.5.1.

New
- Mr.Rescale: a learned preset with 260 framed shots, selected by default. Your references always come first.
Fixed
- Rescale no longer stops if the system check fails on a locked-down machine or on unusual graphics card names.
- Rescale no longer stops if your marks cannot be saved for later. They still work for that run.
- Rescale no longer stops with
WinError 448when a video sits behind a mount point Windows does not trust. Motion scanning is skipped for that file. - Setup now stops the WildScale service first, so updating no longer fails with
DeleteFile failed; code 5. - Titles, graphics and nested sequences no longer stop Rescale. These clips stay as they are, and the report counts them.
- Premiere Pro 25.0 to 26.5.1: clips of another resolution no longer stop Rescale. The most common resolution is used, and the rest stay as they are.
Internal Server Erroris replaced by the real reason, such as the failing step and the error.
Good to know
- WildScale keeps the last service error in
last-error.txtin%LOCALAPPDATA%\WildScale. Please attach it when you report a problem.
Requirements
- Adobe Premiere Pro 25.0 or later
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
This is a pre-release. To report a problem, include the status text from the panel and email drugela.music@gmail.com.
WildScale 1.1.8
Cut selected clips now always uses WildScale's own detection.
Download
Download WildScaleSetup-1.1.8.exe below and run it.
Changed
- Premiere's Scene Edit Detection no longer opens by itself. It only runs when you tick Use Premiere's own detection instead.
- When detection cannot run, the status text says why: the service is off, a file cannot be read, or the clip has no video file.
- When no cuts are found, the status text shows how many frames and seconds were read, so you can see if only part of a clip was selected.
- Scene Edit Detection on an uncut clip in Rescale now uses WildScale's own detection too.
New
- Marks in Preview and selection can now be moved and resized with handles, nudged with the arrow keys, or set to exact pixel values. You can also switch a mark between Must show and Must hide.
Good to know
- If the status says the service is not running, open WildScale Service from the Start menu and try again.
- This was checked with a stand-in for Premiere and with the test suite, not in a full Premiere run.
Requirements
- Adobe Premiere Pro 25.0 or later
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
This is a pre-release. To report a problem, include the status text from the panel and email drugela.music@gmail.com.

Good to know
- In 25.0 to 26.5.1 you cannot color single clips on the timeline.
- That panel was tested in Premiere Pro 25.0 and 26.5.2. It has not been run in 26.0 itself.

The installer has a self-signed signature from Drugela, so Windows may show a warning or an unknown publisher. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
Changed
- The launcher and the service now have the WildScale icon with a gear, so you can tell them apart in Windows.
Good to know
- The plugin works as it did in 1.1.5.
- Windows may keep showing an old icon for a while, because it stores icons in a cache.

This is a pre-release. To report a problem, include the status text from the panel and email drugela.music@gmail.com.

Download
Download WildScaleSetup-1.1.5.exe below and run it. You do not need administrator rights. Restart Premiere Pro, then open the panel from Window > UXP Plugins, or Window > Extensions in Premiere Pro 25.
The installer has a self-signed signature from Drugela, so Windows may show a warning or an unknown publisher. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
New
- Black bars: WildScale measures bars inside your footage and adds a Crop effect, only on the sides that have them.
- Split screens: the crop stays off the seam. Show both sides with blur, or follow the person's side.
- Rules per reference: each reference decides which graphics may show, and whether it may zoom out to clear them.
- Reference list: click a reference to jump to its clip. The list is saved with the sequence.
- Learning from hand edits: clips you move by hand are learned on the next Rescale, without pressing Learn.
Fixed
- A clip you choose as a reference now always follows your choice, even when it looks like another reference.
- Rescale no longer stops with
Cannot read properties of nullon clips Premiere has not finished placing. - Premiere Pro 25: Rescale no longer stops with
Clip not foundwhen a copy lands a frame away. - Premiere Pro 25: back blur copies no longer lay the sound of the whole file on the track below.
Good to know
- Your first Rescale after this update analyzes every clip again.
- Graphics rules cover titles, text and text-heavy pages. For a logo or a picture without text, use Must hide or Must show.
- Bars must be black. Gray or blurred side panels are not found yet.
- Crop has been checked on real footage for its measurements, but this release has not had a full run in Premiere Pro. Please report anything that looks wrong.
- Coloring clips lays them down again, which clears other effects. WildScale adds its Crop back after that.
Requirements
- Adobe Premiere Pro 25.0 to 25.9, or 26.5.2 and later
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
This is a pre-release. To report a problem, include the status text from the panel and email drugela.music@gmail.com.
WildScale 1.1.4
This update fixes clips that come back with no cuts on some graphics cards.
Download
Download WildScaleSetup-1.1.4.exe below and run it.
Fixed
- If the graphics card finds no cuts, WildScale reads the clip again on the processor before it gives up.
- Premiere's own detection now gets more time to finish on long clips.
- When no cuts are found, the status text says how many frames were read and which decoder read them.
Good to know
- Tested in Premiere Pro 25.0 on an 8-minute clip, with and without FFmpeg. Both runs made 268 cuts.
- A clip without cuts now takes longer, because it is read again.
- Motion detection still needs FFmpeg. Without it, each clip is framed as a whole.
Requirements
- Adobe Premiere Pro 25.0 to 25.9, or 26.5.2 and later
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
This is a pre-release. To report a problem, include the status text from the panel and email drugela.music@gmail.com.
WildScale 1.1.3
Cut detection no longer needs FFmpeg.
Download
Download WildScaleSetup-1.1.3.exe below and run it.
Fixed
- Cut selected clips now works on computers without FFmpeg. WildScale uses a decoder built into its service, on your graphics card when it can.
- If FFmpeg is installed but fails, the built-in decoder takes over.
- WildScale now finds FFmpeg in common install folders, even when the service has an older system PATH.
- Premiere Pro 25: a clip with a tiny speed difference is no longer skipped.
- Premiere Pro 25: if the razor makes no cuts, Premiere's own detection takes over.
- When Premiere's detection takes over, the status text says why.
Good to know
- The built-in decoder is slower than FFmpeg, and the panel shows its progress.
- Motion detection still needs FFmpeg. Without it, each clip is framed as a whole.
- The changes for Premiere Pro 25 are not fully tested yet.
Requirements
- Adobe Premiere Pro 25.0 to 25.9, or 26.5.2 and later
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
This is a pre-release. To report a problem, include the status text from the panel and email drugela.music@gmail.com.
WildScale 1.1.2
This update makes Cut selected clips reliable on a single clip.
Download
Download WildScaleSetup-1.1.2.exe below and run it.
Fixed
- Cut detection no longer looks frozen. The panel shows progress, and Stop ends the search for cuts.
- A decoder that hangs is closed after 30 seconds, and the next one takes over.
- Premiere's own Scene Edit Detection now starts by itself when WildScale's detection cannot run, fails, or finds no cuts. You no longer need to tick Use Premiere's own detection.
- A clip with no cuts now shows a clear message and stays whole.
- A selected clip with no readable media file no longer causes a service error.
- Premiere Pro 25: detection now uses the clips you selected, not every clip on V1.
Good to know
- When WildScale finds no cuts, the check by Premiere takes at least 20 seconds, and longer on long clips.
- Stop does not stop Premiere's detection or cutting that has already started.
- The changes for Premiere Pro 25 are not fully tested yet.
Requirements
- Adobe Premiere Pro 25.0 to 25.9, or 26.5.2 and later
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- FFmpeg on your system PATH for frame-exact cut detection
This is a pre-release. To report a problem, include the status text from the panel and email drugela.music@gmail.com.
