WildScale 1.3.0
Pre-releaseWildScale now runs on Windows and on Intel Macs. This release adds a styled installer, a monitor for the service and a Low latency mode for older computers.
Download
Windows: download WildScaleSetup-1.3.0.exe below and run it. You do not need administrator rights. Restart Premiere Pro, then open the panel from Window > UXP Plugins in 26.5.2 and later, or Window > Extensions in 25.0 to 26.5.1.
The installer has a self-signed signature from Drugela, so Windows may show a warning or an unknown publisher. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
Mac: quit Premiere Pro with Cmd+Q, then download WildScale-1.3.0-mac-x86_64.pkg below and open it. It asks for your administrator password. Start Premiere Pro and open the panel from Window > Extensions.
The package is not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS may refuse to open it. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
New
- Mac version: the panel, the analysis service and the installer now run on Intel Macs.
- WildScale Monitor: a film strip in the Windows system tray or the Mac menu bar. It is dim while the service sleeps, solid when it is awake, and rolls while a job runs. Click it to start or stop the service or open the last error.
- Low latency: the lightest mode in Settings. It checks the fewest frames, skips the motion scan and uses two processor threads, so Premiere stays responsive. In one test on a 2014 MacBook Pro it finished about 40% sooner than Balanced.
- Styled installer: Setup now shows what it installs and how to read the monitor.
Fixed
- Windows: a second copy of the launcher can no longer share the port with the first.
Known limits
- This release has not had a full Rescale run in Premiere Pro on either system. Please report anything that looks wrong.
- The Low latency timing comes from the Mac test and has not been measured on Windows.
- Low latency can miss short titles and animated changes inside a clip, so check the result.
- On Windows, the percentage shows when you point at the monitor icon.
- The Mac version was tested with Premiere Pro 26.0 on macOS 15 on one Intel MacBook Pro. Apple silicon Macs are not tested.
- On a Mac, FFmpeg is not included. Without it, a built-in decoder finds the cuts, and each clip is framed as a whole. With Homebrew, run
brew install ffmpeg. - Text detection runs on the processor on a Mac.
Requirements
- Windows: Adobe Premiere Pro 25.0 or later, on Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- Mac: Adobe Premiere Pro 26.0, on macOS 13 or later with an Intel processor
