📋 Overview

DeepFileX v2.1.0 introduces a major redesign of the sidebar filter layout, default launch configurations (Dark Mode), and critical bug fixes for the case-sensitive search engine. The build size has been optimized for faster distribution.

🎉 Major Features

  • Hierarchical Sidebar Filters: Individual extension checkboxes are now grouped under collapsible parent categories (Documents, CAD & 3D, Compressed Archives, etc.).
  • Arrow-Controlled Collapsibles: Toggling parent checkboxes no longer collapses/expands the item. Navigation and folding are strictly handled by dedicated triangle arrow (▶/▼) buttons.
  • Root "All" Category: Placed at the top and permanently expanded for streamlined selection.

🔧 Improvements

  • Default Dark Mode: The application now defaults to Dark Mode on startup.
  • Collapsed Startup State: Extension categories are collapsed by default on startup for a cleaner workspace.
  • Pure Black Borders in Light Mode: Changed checkbox borders to pure black (#000000) and backgrounds to white (#ffffff) for maximum readability on bright screens.
  • Scroll Area Styling: Eliminated background artifacts in the file filter panel.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Match Case Mode Matching: Fixed post-filtering logic to strictly respect the chosen search mode (Content Only vs. Filename Only vs. Both).
  • Snippet Extractor Offset: Fixed a bug where case-sensitive search queries failed to locate positions in the text (returning -1), resulting in accurate snippet rendering and search result highlighting.
  • Index Checkmark Rendering: Resolved styling inheritance issues in custom tree widgets to ensure checkmarks (V) are correctly displayed when items are checked.
