🚀 Welcome to APK Desktop Bridge v1.0.0 (Pre-Release Beta)

I got tired of 5 GB ad-heavy Android emulators just to test APKs, so as a 14-year-old developer, I built my own open-source, lightweight Windows desktop bridge in .NET 10.

APK Desktop Bridge is designed to download, validate, sideload, and run Android applications (especially Android Local AI apps) in landscape mode on Windows without the bloatware. This is the Beta Pre-Release—try it out and let me know what you think!

✨ New Features in this Build

• Windows File Association: Double-click any .apk file anywhere on your PC to instantly open it inside the app for installation.
• Custom Desktop Icon: All your .apk files will now display the official APK Desktop Bridge logo.
• Emulator File Transfer: A brand-new tab to drag and drop any file (AI models, images, ZIPs) directly into your Android emulator's internal storage.
• Ultra-Compressed Offline Installer: The setup .exe now safely bundles the ADB and SDK Command-Line Tools offline, saving you a massive separate download.
• Live ADB Status: The sidebar now actively pings your emulator every 3 seconds to keep your connection status perfectly synced.

📥 How to Install

1. Expand the Assets section below.
2. Download APKDesktopBridge-Setup.exe.
3. Run the installer on your Windows 10/11 machine. (Note: Windows SmartScreen might pop up since this is a brand new open-source app. Click "More info" -> "Run anyway").
4. Open the app, go to Runtime & Display, and click Start Landscape Emulator. (Note: If you see any error popups about missing files, just click Auto-Provision SDK to let the app fix it and download the system image automatically!)

Since this is a pre-release, there might be a few quirks! Please open an issue in the Issues tab with your bug report so I can fix it for the final v1.0 launch.
