dsh-document-selection-ask v0.1.2

v0.1.2 fixes PDF high-DPI rendering and TextLayer selection alignment.

Fixed

  • Correct PDF canvas backing resolution on high-DPI displays.
  • Remove the inverted PDF finest quality tier.
  • Decouple PDF TextLayer CSS geometry from canvas backing density.
  • Use the PDF CSS viewport scale for TextLayer layout.
  • Fix severe selection/glyph displacement on scaled displays.

Regression coverage

  • Browser deviceScaleFactor 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 2.
  • Canvas backing-density assertions.
  • Canvas-ink versus TextLayer geometry checks.
  • CJK high-DPI PDF coverage.
  • Pointer-drag selection coverage.

Compatibility

  • DSH 0.1.5-rc.2
  • Node ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0
  • Primary verified environment: Windows 11 with Chromium-based DSH Web UI

Verification

  • Vitest: 1061 passed / 0 failed
  • Retained complete browser runs: 95 passed / 0 failed / 0 skipped
  • npm package verification: PASS
  • npm registry artifact byte-identical to the frozen release artifact

Install

dsh plugin --profile <profile> add dsh-document-selection-ask@0.1.2

Known verification boundary

Two unrelated pre-existing browser tests were timing-sensitive under heavy
machine load during Task 16: the DOCX rapid-switch case and locale-switching
case. The retained complete runs are 95/0/0, and every PDF high-DPI case passed
in all repeated runs used for the hotfix verification.

dsh-document-selection-ask v0.1.0

Initial public GitHub release of the DSH document-selection Ask plugin.

Highlights

  • Select content in TXT, Markdown, code/config, CSV, PDF, DOCX, PPTX, and XLSX previews.
  • Append a provenance-aware quote to the current conversation draft.
  • Preserve the existing draft and return focus to the composer.
  • Never auto-submit the message.
  • PDF uses a selectable TextLayer; DOCX/PPTX use rendered DOM selection; XLSX uses semantic cell ranges.
  • Browser-local document parsing with no remote Office/PDF viewer or CDN runtime dependency.
  • OOXML preflight/extraction limits and fail-closed handling are included.

Verified environment

  • DSH: 0.1.5-rc.2
  • Node: ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0
