v0.37.13
My Workplace is now Harness Bot
The starter kit where you hire AI teammates by answering a few questions is now called Harness Bot. It lives at /kits/harness-bot, and every teammate's face is the Harness Bot mascot, animated, in one of six colours. The faces are drawn in a circle so they read on any background. With reduced motion turned on, each face shows a still frame.
Everything you launched as My Workplace keeps working:
- Your recruiter, your teammates, their faces, your direct messages and your groups carry over as they are. A face from before maps to the nearest of the six, so each teammate keeps one look.
- Bookmarks to
/kits/workplace/...open the same page under/kits/harness-bot/.... - Pressing Launch on the kit again moves your recruiter to the new name. A name you gave the recruiter yourself is kept.
A renamed kit keeps what was launched under its old name
kit.json can now say what a kit was called before, and the server reads it:
aliases: the kit's old ids. A setup launched under one of them belongs to the kit:- its record and the kit catalog report the current id;
- launching under either id reuses it;
- the next launch stores the current id.
harness.replaces_packages: the old names of the kit's package. On the next launch the current package takes such a package's place instead of being installed beside it.harness.replaces_names: the setup's old default names. On the next launch a setup still called exactly one of them takes the kit's current name.- The console sends an old id's address on to the current one, read from the same
aliases.
Kit maintainers can rename a kit with a few lines in its own kit.json.
