Reporting Bugs

A file that opens in another viewer but fails or looks wrong in heifer is a bug. Please open an issue with:

1. The file, if you can share it. A sample file is by far the most useful thing. Remove private photos' GPS data first, or send a photo of something neutral taken with the same phone.
2. Where it comes from: phone or camera model, app, OS version.
3. What happens: the error message, or a screenshot of the wrong result next to the expected one.
4. heifer version (cargo tree -i heifer).

Check what the file contains with:

cargo run -p heifer-isobmff --example info -- photo.heic

For security issues (a crash, hang or memory blow-up on a crafted file), please say so in the issue title.
