Drift 1.1.0 — the biggest update since the first beta.
New
- Private app-scope tunnel — paste a WireGuard
.confor OpenVPN.ovpnprofile in Settings and Drift routes only its own traffic through a privateutuninterface. No system routes, DNS, or other apps are touched, and internet-bound requests are refused while the tunnel is down instead of leaking. - Connection Booster, rebuilt — boosts fetch the exact missing pieces from web seeds, verify each piece's SHA-1 against the torrent metadata, then resume the torrent. Boostable rows get a badge, and running boosts are managed from the Downloads window.
- Server Search is a full pane — browse and install qBittorrent search plugins, inspect a plugin's metadata, see missing-plugin and empty-result states, and manage plugins from Settings.
- App-wide lifetime stats — client-side transfer totals recorded independently of the connected server.
Improved
- Details dock — an expanded dock shows live piece progress in its status bar plus quick Boost / Remove / Delete Files / Finder actions. Clicking detail tabs no longer collapses it.
- Statistics pane — full-window live speed graph, bar comparisons, server statistics, and lifetime totals.
- RSS pane — redesigned, with a sidebar Feeds entry and a Settings toggle.
- Sidebar — server search sits in its own padded row; Tools moves above Plugins.
- Torrent rows — left-click anywhere opens the context menu, including Remove + Delete Files.
- Menus — the header menu is trimmed to the essentials; RSS, Statistics, and Search live in the sidebar.
Security & reliability
- Peer-credential checks, pinned dependencies, EdDSA-signed update verification, and launch-time self-verification.
- Seeded fuzz suites for the bencode and URL parsers.
- Privacy leak probe and remote-value scrubbing.
Install
- DMG — open, drag to Applications, launch
- ZIP — unpack and run Drift.app
- Right-click → Open the first time (ad-hoc signed build)
Requirements: macOS 26 (Tahoe)+, Apple Silicon, qBittorrent with Web UI enabled (tested on 5.2.x). Falls back gracefully; reports welcome on Issues.
