KnowIt v1.0.0

The first signed release of KnowIt: 20 trivia questions across Science, History, Geography, Pop Culture and Tech, with streak scoring and a saved high score.

Highlights

  • Shuffled every game. Questions come in a new order each time, alternating multiple choice and type-in.
  • Forgiving type-in answers. Capitalization, punctuation, extra spaces and a leading "the" don't matter, so "the Nile." counts.
  • Back button returns to the home screen instead of closing the app.
  • Works on any screen. Content stays clear of the status bar, navigation bar and keyboard, and scrolls on small screens and in landscape.
  • Accessibility. Better TalkBack labels: category names, scores, and right/wrong state on answers.
  • Smaller download. About 1.1 MB.

Fixes

  • Confetti now actually appears on correct answers.
  • "New high score" no longer shows when you only tie your best.
  • Fixed a fast double-tap on Next skipping a question.
  • Status bar icons are visible again in light mode.

Install

  1. Download knowit-v1.0.0.apk below
  2. On your Android device: Settings → Install unknown apps → enable for your browser/file manager
  3. Open the downloaded APK and tap Install
